You know I was thinking too.

If you know the Reservation your relatives were raised on that would help too.

There must be some old timer there.

My oldest daughter has Zuni and Hopi from her Grandmother.

Never got my daughter certified but, b4 The Truth she and I danced in Pow Wows.

If an old timer you speak too can not write,.... you can get a certified witnessed statement to the witnessing of their stating they know your ancestors. LL

Like I said hope this helps.U_R

    Gee Lisa,

Couldn't you prevail upon your momma that this is "family business" .......thus, excluded from her righteous shunning status?

Can you bypass the woman and go to grandparents?

    Good luck.

Grandparents have been dead for 20 years, Mother literally doesn't talk to me. She hangs up if she answers the phone and it's me.

    UR, I will try that.

Lisa, can you prove that your grandfather was Blackfoot? If so, you can use your and your mother's marriage certificates to show your lineage back to him. These records can be found in the court house in the county where you were married.
