The Feb. KM has an article entitled: NEW ARRANGEMENT FOR KINGDOM HALL LIBRARIES. No longer will the library be called the Theocratic Ministry School Library. Now, it has been renamed the Kingdom Hall library. Now, each congregation, especially Halls that share, should have only one well-equipped, up-to-date Kingdom Hall library per language group. This will help conserve space and expense and no doubt, bring about better libraries. Duplicate publications can be put in storage and used later when a new Hall is built. For each Kingdom Hall library, one brother, preferably one of the Theocratic Ministry School overseers, will serve as the librarian.......................................ANY COMMENTS???

Will my UN library card work there?

I offered to catalogue all copies of the publications that were available in 3 KHs that I attended, because I'd done the same with my own publications at home. The elders I approached laughed at the idea... what a preposterous suggestion, especially coming from a SISTER!!!

Guess who was laughing when some rare books went missing from the KH library.... but not out loud of course... that would not be the "quiet and mild" thing to do... heh heh heh

    Love, Scully

Do you think maybe the operative phrase is "up-to-date"...which is probably Dub-Speak for ....no more of that old stuff that makes us look bad.

Scully, don't you know that sisters are to take no initiatives?

My wife claims that one time she went to an elder and mentioned that the Hall property needed some weeding and volunteered her services. She said the elder told her that the building committee would need to consider it.

Why is the "theocratic ministry" out of the library, especially when the Theocratic Ministry School Overseer is the new Librarian?

    Scully,

Can I ask you a dumb question? What exactly do you mean by cataloging your books at home? What would you do with uch a catalogue once you had it?

I have stacks of books myself, so I am just curious.

Sounds like major new light flashing up in front of the wheels of jehovah's careening chariot like organisation. This will no doubt be part of the opening one of the seals in revelations. Thanks minimus, for keeping us abreast of these latest refinments.

And may I also add, what a bold new program this is from the faithful and discreet slave! This is a change even more amazing than last years unveiling of the new title, Congregation Book Study Overseer!

Imagine, no more confusion over which library is which. No more duplication of valuable resources. Again we see how the faithful and discreet slave class, under the firm direction of Jehovah's Holy Spirit, continues to guide and direct the congregations, as this old system totters precariously ever closer to its end. Surely we will all be blessed as we cooperate with this loving new arrangement.

Perhaps now you apostates will realize the folly of your ways. Despite the fierce persecution aimed at Jehovah's loyal servants, they continue to prosper. What other group has this kind of direction? None.

We can only wait in anticipation for further wonderful direction!
