i knew a sis , aprox my age, who did "the wild thing" (LOL francois) with an much younger bro. well, she was in the "right" crowd, so they let it go with private reproof ( i only know b/c i am nosy and know an elder) and immediately sent this young guy away. they moved him out of the cong.!! Her husband, quietly remarried in another KH, (in good stnding to a nice sis) and she rmarried a few months later.(quietly , not at the KH) They gave her a bridal shower. It's not what u do, it is who u know.

Also, what is the point of announcing reproof for sins like adultry, fornicaton, ? It always should be private, unless someone has just told the whole cong.

francios, did u find any fraud in business dealings when u went through the file ? that was very big around here, many bro/s in business together.

also, another thing i noticed a lot, elders kids who get off scott free, and others (of the lesser class) who are cruisified,(ex sp)

I also see, not caring for your parents who are elderly a lot. The jws could enforce that if they wanted to, but i notice, like in my case, if there is another family member who will do it, they let the jw off the hook(better to be in service)

25 or 26 year old Sister B works for her dad at their family restuarant...The 45 year old and married MS Brother RB always eats at this restuarant....well....she takes her serving duties too far after a while and he knocks her up....he leaves his wife, they get disfellowshipped and we don't see them for a year or two until the DC where his old broken down ass and her naughty hot looking self show up...w/new baby in tow......I really felt sorry for his wife who went crazy and had the elders claiming that demons were in her house and making her that way....not the fact that her husband of more than 15 or 20 years left her or had a child by a woman twice as young as he.....She also happened to be at the same convention....I always felt bad for her....

maybe moreisbetter remembers Bro RB and the young Miss B?....

Wednesday - Immoral BIDNESS dealings? Why hell yes. I left that part out because it's so damned common. JW housepainters making off with oodles of loot from a rich woman's home. And I mean it was like $76,000.00 in cold hard CASH. Then there was a brother who gave up a huge Ford dealership to be a JW cause the end was right round the corner and all, who was running a sad, dreary little tote your note lot who was kiting checks all over the place, borrowing money from the other elders and not paying it back etc., etc., I liked this guy a lot. He was funny and not too serious. Private reproof.

And, years later, I discovered that a pair of special pioneers (man and wife) were into pedophilia big time. I somehow managed to end up in a relationship with a younger woman who had been one of their victims and had developed multiple personality disorder because of it. That was a tragedy, a real one of epic proportions.

But anyway, yes, there was all sorts of business shenanigans going on.

It's the same old story: sex and money, sex and money, sex and money; sex with money, sex or money, some combination.

The JWs can no more claim to be "clean" than the run of the mill A hole, and everybody has got one of them.

Like I said elsewhere, the WTBTS is evil and it must fall, this house of cards. And I aim to help it fall.

Yes this is the Carol Hartman I knew in San Diego. This problem with her ex caused quite a stir and she was devastated for some time. The auto crash in which she almost died added to the situation and brought more grief. Then the usual grief from ones children only added to the grief.

I am glad she has found some solace and contentment. She deserves it

Her ex has also had his share of grief and guilt over his conduct in life. The last I heard "from the ex" is that they are on speaking terms and get along rather well.

I would like to email her if she is open to giving out her address.

soap writers could not make this $hit up. This did not happen at my former congregation but at another one. There was a sister who had an unbelieving mate. Supposedly it started out with an elder coming to her house to talk to the husband and try and start a study with him. He would have none of it and over the course of a year she would confide in the elder about her marital problems. Eventually they started having an affair and the husband found out when he read some e-mails of hers. It all came out. All hell broke lose. They were both disfellowshipped. The elder cut the sister lose and cried and begged his wife like a baby to forgive him. She took him back and last I heard he was reinstated and they moved to another state.

The unbelieving mate filed for a divorce. So her dirty laundary would not be dragged thru the mud in a nasty custody battle she agreed to let him have sole custody as long as she had generous visitation and she had to waive her right to alimony and his retirement. I heard she was struggling a lot fiancially because she has to pay a lot of child support (3 kids). As of 6 months ago she has not been reinstated. I don't know if she is still going to KH. People are still talking about this almost 2 years after the fact.

So you would have me believe that jw's are aflicted with the same problems that the rest of the world has? How dare you. Don't you know they are Gods only source of guidance on earth? The way you explain things, it looks like they are as troubled or even more troubled than the ungodly worldly people they so talk down to. Shame on you.

Its true outoftheborg the JW's are the most perfect moral people on earth especially their leaders. You know she suduced that poor helpless elder. The slut!! There are even reports that she forced herself on him the first couple of times until he finally gave in and began a full fledged affair.

In all seriousness I feel kind of sorry for her. She lost EVERYTHING and the former elder/lover still has his wife and kids and is in good standing now.

Hell, I have first hand experience on this subject.... with names even.

Back in the early 80's, my mother was married to Mark Henry. He was everything from Publisher to Elder over the years. Him and my mom, "happily married", were studying with some guy and his wife Stacey (or Tracey). Well, one night, Mark never comes home. Neither does Stacey (or Tracey). In time, mom and the other husband come to find out that Mark Henry and his little study ran off together. This all happened in York, Pennsylvania.

They went to Ohio somewhere, were disfellowshipped for a few years, and are back in as active JW's. They have kids... only mentioned because this same guy used to beat on us as kids.

I hear he is back in the York or Hanover, PA area now... living happily as a JW again, judging others as evil.

This has happened more in my congregations than I care to tell. And yes, to "yours truly" personally. (hey, I was the victim, not the perpetrator,if you must know). Hate to sound jaded, calloused or whateverl, but it's true, the JW's are no better than your average Joe.
