Since the WTS/JWs is delusional stupidity, mixed with corrupt charlatanism, I see that as a good thing.
Less people killing themselves, less families being broken apart .

U say that about republicans too🤓
Yes I do, Trump exemplifies delusional stupidity in the political spectrum.
In today's world when you have a reputation, like jw's, for criticizing, predicting, and even looking forward to the destruction of a government, the government where you live, you will probably be considered an extremist group!
If you can't do the time, don't do the crime! Don't kick a sleeping dog (bear)!
just saying!
I don't understand how they could cause problems for the gov't politically. However, yrs. ago when WT was having problems in Russia there was info/article somewhere (probably on this board) re/all the health/psychological problems when members were disfellowshipped, left the org, etc. The religion was causing problems -- medical expenses to the government's health care system, whatever that is over there. Russia didn't appreciate the hardcore policies of the WT's negative effects or that was an excuse thrown out there.
eyeusetobadub -- great point.
Have JWs written mass letters in defense of the other groups banned in Russia?
Bit like an old fashioned version of a denial of service attack
JW's, Mormons, & Scientology don't play fair. They are deceptive. They don't tell you everything before you join...then later when you find out something like: Jesus not being your Mediator (for the JW's) .... bada bing! You lose your whole family.
Destroyed families are bad business for governments when they are left to clean up the mess and pay the bills, i.e. medical, drug and alcohol dependency, prison, lack of productivity etc.
This kind of deception is bad religion.... kudos to Russia.
PERRY:
I am in total agreement with you and glad JWs are banned there. Yes, they are deceptive and DO produce human wreckage that somebody else (namely governments and taxpayers) end up having to clean up.
I was one of those deceived people, but luckily for me I was on the fringes as an employed person who didn’t care what anybody thought. Others are not so fortunate.
Many people on the forum for various reasons are crying big tears over the idea of the JW religion being banned anywhere. I believe this parasitic religion, if not banned, deserves to be taxed at the very least. Too many JWs are a drain on a nation’s resources and are absolutely useless as far as I’m concerned.
@steve2, Scientologists and Mormons are not banned in Russia.
@Finkelstein, these persecutions (100+ armed raids at homes, 50+ are prosecuted and 20+ are detained for the first 10 month merely for practicing their religion) have nothing about real or alleged victims, they don't help anybody and only ruin and will ruin hundreds and thousands lives.
@eyeuse2badub, "criticizing, predicting, and even looking forward to the destruction of a government" are not crimes, taking into account that JWs don't commit, incite for or justify any anti-governmental activities.
@Perry, @LongHairGal, poorly founded speculations about higher state expenses and dubious charges of deception are bad justifications for criminalizing entire religion, aren't they?
