Advantage in the congregation?? For a "Sister"??? You've got to be kidding.

You certainly didn't understand the meaning of the question.....

I am talking about health advantages and social advantages, like being rich compared to poor. Some in the congregation produced alot, but it was their social and financial and health that did the trick. They were considered spiritual, but were they really?

Yes Sisters and brothers had advantages over other, like I said above.

This question was intended for brothers primarily, because they had privileges. But if you read the question carefully, I ask what advantage did you have over others. A healthy sister had an advantage over a handicaped, sick, poor, discouraged lonely sister. Can't you see what I mean?

I knew a brother very spiritual, but he had diabetes, and he didn't have the health to go up in the org. Many said that if he was healthy, he would have been an elder. So health is a factor in the JW org. This is another example.

I'm a faster sprinter than the elders. I used to run the 100m in less than 13 seconds (not too fast, but faster than any elder in my cong)

from birth to 23 I had the advantage of being the daughter of an annointed elder. then I was a pioneer. Then I owned my own home. and finally when I realized that the elders who felt they could direct my life were the same ones that I changed their diapers and taught to count to ten- I left. I went as far as i could go as a single sister and it was not satisfying.

I guess I never feel I have an advantage over people, one may have more money but are they rich in other areas of their lives? One may have intellect but do they make intelligent decisions... I guess the only advantage I had as a witness was that I wasn't raised in it and had been allowed to see life in a more rounded perspective...which allowed me the guts to escape.

Isuppose knowing sign language gave me a "leg up" I was interpreting in front of the cong at an early age and that was pre-baptism. Post baptism I was interpreting the memorial...shortly after that I was given the boot tho...lol. All before I was 17! It makes me chuckle now...
