Bin Laden - Do you think he's right after all?

Hey folks

Im not trying to offend anybody , Im just trying to find out what you guys really think about Bin Laden.

Of course there are the obvious things to count against him ;- the fact that he probably murdered thousands of people on September 11th , and maybe even before then. The barbaric acts he performed will stand as his shame for all eternity , If he did indeed attack America.

Does anybody remember the letter that he supposedly wrote to the west , months after the attacks? You can read it here , its taken from 'The Guardian' website , a newspaper based here in the UK.

Im not a supporter of Bin Laden , or Islam as a whole , far from it. But what right has America got to order around smaller nations like they are and have been doing? What he is saying in this letter makes perfect sense; of course it is no excuse for terrorism .

The West has plagued the world with her sins. In it originates the continuing trend of bisexuality , or homosexuality. Hollywood has portrayed these things as good , and so have celebrities , spreading the poison of these sins to gullible people.

Note that he writes :

(2) The second thing we call you to, is to stop your oppression, lies, immorality and debauchery that has spread among you.

(a) We call you to be a people of manners, principles, honour, and purity; to reject the immoral acts of fornication, homosexuality, intoxicants, gambling's, and trading with interest

The East doesn't portray these things as good as does the west.

At the end of the day , the West is just as guilty as Bin Laden himself.

I really can't think of a predominantly Moslem country that comes to mind that is "moral" and would be a place I would want my family to live.

Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen, Libya, Afghanistan, Sudan, and the list goes on. Since they are nearly 100% Moslem, you would expect them to be examples to the West.

I can think of a lot of peaceful and moderate Western countries that I feel are far more moral than those that practice Islam.

Would you feel safer in a room full of Swedes or Iranians ?????

As we are westerners ourselves RUBADUB its obvious where we would feel the most safe. Im sure that a group of Saudi's in a room full of Americans wouldn't feel that safe.

And you name different middle eastern countries , but why?

Bin Laden's full of himself, just like the other fanatical Islamic extremists. He's a power hungry and evil man. He believes that by declaring a jihad on Americans, that we will change just like that. <snap> There's plenty of things wrong with those countries: half of their population are treated as nothing more than chattel, to be used and abused and thrown away like so much garbage. They are terrified, ostracized and inhumanely murdered when they make a mistake and become pregnant before marriage. That's not good, of course, but doesn't seem to justify senseless slaughter.

Timothy McVeigh wasn't a Muslim, and he is just as bad, if not worse, than Bin Laden because he knowingly did it to his fellow countrymen! He had a lot of the same ideas as bin Laden. They are both evil men.

By all means, please list an Eastern country that has more rights, more freedoms, more liberties than the West.

The Islamic and Eastern world is in no way ethical or moral.

If we are so Bad then why do they send their kids here to get educated.

Bin Ladins letter is a bunch of Bull. Basicly its a bunch of monarchs and religious nuts who fear us becuase our beliefs and freedoms undermine their power. Thats it.

I am sure you would get some fanitical Christians that would agree with Bin Laden on this point. I cannot agree with the murder of innocent men, women and children for a cause, whether it be Bin Laden, Saddam Hussam, Audolph Hitler or George W Bush.

In my opinion, his views and rules and laws doesn't differ that much from hitlers.
He opresses people and think he has the right to kill people that don't follow his rules
or religion.

Why don't you ask another stupid question, you can ask if hitler was
