    How do you define "spiritual?"

I define it as subjectively experiencing life both outside of myself but mainly within.

Outside: becoming familiar with the awesomeness of the world be it the magnificent, the delicate hardly noticable, or the beautiful.

Within: My inner reactions to the outer: creation, such as how I feel when I see waves clashing angrily or even a calm ripple, when I hear thunder or say when I see a spider spinning a web or a bird feeding its young. My personal observance of life or how I deal with death or traumatic events, the profound insights that each experience brings. All these, in a nut shell, are part of what make up my spirituality.

Naturally I am aware that a persons theology will play a part in how a person views spirituality, but that is another thread. Mine is a spirituality with an awarness of and a thankfulness towards God for all of these things, for others evolution or whatever their spirituality entails.

How do you veiw people who are very spiritual?

To answer my own question on my interpretation of "spirituality". I enjoy discussing spirituality with those who are very aware of thier own spirituality, but I veiw people who go to extremes as annoying...lol

Well I'm not sure, I do feel I need to be more spiritual, I just haven't found a way that satisfies me.

These days I think of spirituality in a much broader sense than just religious. Of the latter, I have little trace. In the broad sense, Wolfgirl, Bona Dea and Brummie best expressed my ideas.

Hey Brumms...I don't thinkof myself as a spiritual person, but I do get feelings I can't explain sometimes...good ones indeed...usually when I'm flying in a plane looking downon the earth, or in a deep wood, or on a high mountain. That's the only time I ever get anything that resembles spirituality...well maybe that and when my kids are with me.

    Sincerely,

Agreed AlanF! So much broader than religion.

usually when I'm flying in a plane looking downon the earth, or in a deep wood, or on a high mountain. That's the only time I ever get anything that resembles spirituality

Valis, I should have thought of those things. Flying is definately awesome I dont know if I love it or dread it or detest it, either way looking down on the earth is inspiring. Standing on the mountains here is breathtaking, definitely a time to consider spirituality!

    thanks

There is no such thing as a spiritual person, being or thinking that someone is a spiritual person is all in the mind, this is another trick perpatrated by the borg ,really this thought gives people the right to apply seperate class distinctions ,keeps the seperation element living as us and them, really a spiritual person is someone whom claims that they are on a higher physical plane than everyone else

,unfortunatly all you have to do is look miserable ,dont enjoy your life ,abstain from developing friendships ,use your holidays for pioneering only, dont smile, dont fart ,walk around with the bible in your hands everyday, never mioss a meeting never get ill.allways answer at the watchtower ,most importantly ,neve never, invite anyone to your home for a meal ,allways get invited out to eat no matter whom provided you dont pay for it ,allways celebrate birthdays privatly, bonk with relish anyone in the congregation whom is feeling lonly and depressed,

never admit to any indiscresions, with anyone of the opposite sex above all keep beat yourself when you have a wicked thougt, try and keep your eyes fixed on the prize ,thats right, bonk as many elders wives as possible .

    agape love
