Now after 21 years in professional psychology/humanities, I love talking to brothers that adopt a slow pace in speech, and low tone of voice when they deal with the rank and cold un-associated ones. My mirroring their present state in personality seems to psych them out for a bit. I then tap into my fast injection of logical sense, that throws them off. They soon lose patience at my versatile psychological sense then dissipate and move to the next revisit. LOL, They leave me alone!!! Mimic their talk and cadence in speech, they will leave you alone.

What always gets to me is when they say Jehovah all long and drawn out
"Ja- HO- va"
with that long drawn out HO
so nausea inducing.

That is classic AE. Takes a lot of patience though! Who do you get to laugh about it with and do you manage to contain yourself or do you laugh out loud at some point? That's like having the best punch line but your audience doesn't 'get it'. Such intellect wasted on the elderdubs! Gladly, not wasted for us. Thanks for sharing! -

I've lost count of the amount of times during a conversation which is beginning to nudge into jw stuff with members of my family I have to say, " can you not just speak to me normally ". The tone of voice changes as well as the pace, the facial expression becomes almost eerie with THAT stare that says oooooohh your so worldly !!! -
Doctor Who
I have a visit schedule this weekend because of being 'spiritually weak." I will give this a go and report back my findings. Should be interesting! -

Sail Away
Perfect! That tone and cadence is what turns JW audiences into glazed-eyed bobble- headed zombies! -

AE,
Funny insightful OP. Only an ex Dub would get this. Well done and spot on accurate.
