  Since leaving the Witnesses, my wife and I have attended one gay wedding of some friends. It was pretty cool actually and we had fun. I am not hung up on what is right and wrong anymore, based on some religion's teachings. They are a very happy couple and respect their bound with the same respect most are used to seeing with straight couples. So my advice to you, ENJOY! HAVE FUN! and don't worry about the social prejudices out there. They are getting better each day.

  If you aren't sure of what to do, then take as much time as you need to figure out what you want and what is best for you. Don't feel pressured, if he really loves you he will wait till you are ready/comfortable for marriage.

  That is so sweet and romantic. Take your time, you do not have to hurry into anything. But if you do decide to accept his proposal, I want an invitation to your wedding. Be warned though, I always cry at weddings.

  I'd say this is the deciding factor: Do you love him? Everything else sounds like it's on the up and up, so it all comes down to whether or not you truly love each other.
