In my perception, the source commonly referred to as god, isn't that it is good, as opposed to our concept of bad. It isn't good, even as we wouldn't call the universe, of which we are a part, good. The universe just is, while it contains all and supports all the processes of creation, maintainence and destruction. Examples:
construction: stars being born in the eagle nebula, stars forging heavier elements from hydrogen.
maintainence: balance of nature on earth (provided people don't interfere).
destruction: stars going nova, black holes ripping apart atoms, space and time, one star cannibalising another, as they orbit each other.
Are any of these processes bad or good? Not really.
Since we as humans, in my opinion, are connected and of the source, we also are niether good, nor bad. These concepts are socialisations that have been passed down to us from eons. They serve some useful purposes for civilisation, as far as keeping order, and generally, peace.
It may be though, that the source radiates what is construed as love to one and all, even as the sun radiates light in all directions, free to all that has a direct view of it.
