New Light - God chose the Bible students as his org long BEFORE the official inspection in 1919

Was watching this recently done new history of the society - here it is on youtube if you missed it when it first came out:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BV82K1z7N_4&feature=youtu.be

Lots of contradictory and nutty comments - for instance stating one minute that 1914 proved such a faith strengthening event because it fulfilled all their predictions, how encouraged they were, and then a few minutes later claiming the opposite - that many were disappointed and shocked because their expectations were not met!

Then came across this stunning claim, which was emphasised twice:

Around the 48min mark David Splane says (in the context of what would happen to the Bible students after the disappointment of 1914 and Russell's death in 1916): "It is evident that Jehovah had already chosen this organisation. (interesting how he calls it an "organisation" when earlier they claimed that it wasn't one, that Russell did not start a "new religious organisation" as there were too many already!) Because of the faithfulness and the sincerity of the men who were behind it, it is was obvious that Jehovah had already chosen this organisation to get his work done."

So where does that leave the 1919 doctrine? The doctrine that Jesus inspected ALL Christians then, and chose the Bible students then? According to Splane, Jesus/God had already made their decision long before the official inspection in 1919, and that decision was based, not on the quality of the spiritual food, but on the "sincerity" of the men?????

If you are interested in and have not had a chance to examine the early history of the adventists movements that influenced Russell, I highly recommend this summary:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_c-PdT0SsE

It highlights how absurd and arrogant it is to claim that one particular group of millennialists was somehow "unique," "special," "different," or more "faithful & sincere" in order for it to be chosen by God above all others.....

Yes the Watchtower Corporation, Jehovah's own earthly publishing house, albeit a lying and corrupt one.

Wait a second, maybe the owners of the WTS self anointed themselves as god's chosen organization, that would make the WTS an even bigger fraud.

Great points and great summary Doubtful1799!

    Thank you for sharing!

Yes, the illogical reasoning is mind blowing! It is clear that the Organisation speaks out of both sides of its mouth, and changes history to suit whatever narrative they currently want to push...

The WTS/JWS is another dark unscriptural version of Christianity because its tainted with corruption in its literature proliferation, the doctrines made were false doctrines against bible teachings or honest interpretation. $$$

What a bunch of horse pucky.

In your fucking dreams Watchtower CEOs in your fucking dreams. What a bunch of wishful thinking!

In the land of wishful fucked up thinking could this video only be true.

I think the writers of this narrative are truly delusional and are stuck in the land of hopelessly brain dead indoctrination with bull shit up to the eye balls.

I see major depression a result for the clowns that express this bull shit with a straight face, not only them but their wives and rabid listeners.

Evidently jehovah read the jesus inspired Finished Mystery book, published by Watch Tower in 1917, which made, on page 144, the following claim in relation Revelation 8:3

"And another angel. -- Not the "voice of the Lord," mentioned in the preceding chapter, but the corporate body -- the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society, which Pastor Russell formed to finish his work. This verse shows that, though Pastor Russell has passed beyond the veil, he is still managing every feature of the Harvest work. The Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society is the greatest corporation in the world, because from the time of its organization until now the Lord has used it as His channel through which to make known the Glad Tidings."

Ftn. The word 'organization' is used but not in the context that David Splane used it.
