I have a deck called "The Mythic Tarot" which is a pretty "dark" deck. I also have a much ligher, airier deck and I think that it is called "the mystical tarot". I need to check that....
I really believe in getting the right deck for the individual.

I agree with you that the Tarot cannot be taken lightly. However, I think that a novice can pick up the tarot if they so wish and if they show it enough respect.

You hit the nail on the head there. Too many people want a future prediction when the tarot is more about being a reflection of the situation.
I believe it somehow connects with our subconscious.

I agree that the tarot wouldn't be more successful than tea leaves or any other form of divination....but I still think the tarot is a genuine means of divining if it appeals to the individual. Trouble with studies such as the one you stated is that it *is* a subjective thing and therefore difficult to quantify if its "accurate"
