I really liked some of the great posts on this Thread!
However, that said, I would like to comment on CZAR's statement:
The Trinity makes no difference on how humans are to live their lives. The Two Greatest Commandments do! Was Jesus God? Who knows? Who cares, really, believe as you like. Remember, it's not what we believe that gets us our eternal reward, it is "doing the will of the Father". Which is to take care of widows and orphans and whatnot.
There are so many things wrong those words I don't know where to begin.
First, I'll start with this statement: Remember, it's not what we believe that gets us our eternal reward, it is "doing the will of the Father".
Acts 16:30: ..."Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"
Acts 16:31: They said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
Acts 15:11: But we believe that we are saved through the grace [undeserved kindness] of the Lord Jesus...
Galatians 2:16: yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through the faith of Jesus Christ, even we believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the Law, because no flesh will be justified by the works of the Law.
Galatians 5:4: You are alienated from Christ, you who desire to be justified by the Law. You have fallen away from grace [undeserved kindness].
Galatians 2:21: ...For if righteousness is through the Law, then Christ died for nothing!"
Romans 11:6: And if by grace [undeserved kindness], then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace [undeserved kindness] is no longer grace [undeserved kindness]. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace [undeserved kindness]; otherwise work is no longer work.
Romans 3:20-28: Because by the works of the Law, no flesh will be justified in His sight. For through the Law comes the knowledge of sin. But now apart from the Law, a righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the Law and the Prophets; even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe. For there is no distinction, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; being justified freely by His grace [undeserved kindness] through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; whom God set forth to be an Atoning Sacrifice, through faith in His Blood, for a demonstration of His righteousness through the passing over of prior sins, in God's forbearance; to demonstrate His righteousness at this present time; that He might Himself be Just, and the Justifier of him who has faith in Jesus. Where then is the boasting? It is excluded. By what manner of Law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith. We maintain therefore that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the Law.
Romans 4:2-5: For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not toward God. For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." Now to him who works, the reward is not counted as grace [undeserved kindness], but as debt. But to him who doesn't work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.
John 1:12: But as many as received Him [Jesus Christ], to them He gave the right to become God's children, to those who believe in His Name
John 3:14-18: As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God loved the world so much, that He gave His Only-Begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn't send His Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged. He who doesn't believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the Name of the Only-Begotten Son of God.
