  As to JWTalk - it is hysterical reading there. Did any of you catch the poster who said that they wondered if someone should call the branch and let them know info has been leaked? LOL

  also, what are the chances that the Org will change their plans midstream and cancel the changes mentioned in the letter leaving the release of the book undone and leave the School/ Service meeting the way it is?

  Closest thing I can think of is the recent discovery that the WTS has significant funds squirreled away in accounts in the Caymans (can't remember which thread).

  That would be the "tax-shelters-most-often-used-by-mobsters-corrupt-politicians-and-crooked-businessmen" Caymans, BTW...

  A letter is leaked some days before its due for release. Big deal! Id be more surprised - and impressed - if information was leaked that was not intended for later release. Surely, THAT would be of significantly greater conern to the GB.

  As for the notion of their deliberately preparing false information to see who leaks it, how would that work? Leaking by definition is difficult to pinpoint. If they cannot pinpoint who's leaking official letters, they won't have any greater luck with "false" letters.

  I've got a family member that works for Apple - they do (or at least have in the past) something along these lines in order to identify leaks, but not quite to this extreme. Basically everyone gets a slightly different version of the product - no major differences, but there might be a slight difference in an icon or in layout, etc - if something gets leaked they're able to tell what the source was based on the identifying differences.

  They could easily use a method like this to try to suss out the source of the leaks, but if they did and it became known the leakers could just resort to re-wording things to convey the gist of the letter without giving the content verbatum. The only way for them to find the leak then would be to distribute various false letters to different people/departments and see which ones get out, and then withdraw the letters. That's when the leaks really start to hurt their internal operation - when people start getting jerked around like that it will really hurt morale and their ability to have an effective flow of information.

  Guys, it's definitely happening. They are not going to pull it.

  I know people in the video that they will be showing after the meeting and have also talked to someone that has had the actual new study "KM" digitally.

  This is not a set up or anything of that nature. It's all very real and will be happening.

  It takes so much time to get everything ready for publication and translated that there is no doubt this change is happening even if it got leaked. Something like this has been in the planning stages for months and if it was leaked back then before the writing of the letter then it might be something. There are probably dozens if not hundreds at Bethel who were aware of the change by the time the leak happened so it doesn't have to be someone of high status who leaked the information.

  I would consider a good 'leak' to be something that can potentially be damaging to them. Just leaking information ahead of the official scheduled release date or 'elders only' leaks can help 'if' they expose them for something illegal, unethical, or not biblical. Otherwise it's just getting information ahead of time.

  Now, if someone, can pull a Snowden on the WTS, I'll be the first to send them a fine bottle of whiskey.

  I have a feeling something much more dire financially is looming.

  Just following the tone over the past 12 months, the body language etc. Something is up and the ARC could be a part of it, but something much more serious is bother the leadership.

  They may be trying to control that information about lawsuit, financial scandal, or just failed management, but i have a feeling they are facing something bad. Maybe some others are figuring it out on the inside as well.

  Leaking information is actually a very effective way of bringing down authoritarian regimes. By their very nature, they hate to be shown not to have complete control...

  Except for what is said by OneEyedJoe, I see only one other advantage in "knowing" ahead of the members. I know some will say to a Dub, "The money situation is so bad with pedophile lawsuits that I wouldn't be surprised if they cut magazine production again and lay off a thousand or more Bethelites again." So I get that one, also- putting a bug in the ear of a Dub to think differently when the big announcement is made. I did that with my wife.

  But I find it strange that some are so high up the chain and stay there knowing what they know of TTATT. I guess some feel they have little choice. I think I would rather find a minimum wage job and my freedom than that. But that's just me. If we didn't have people up the chain leaking info, we would still hear about the announcement and still be able to suggest afterward to our Dub families that the reason is not for the sake of the "preaching" so close to the end but for dire financial reasons of a different sort.
