  As authoritarian as they are, the Russian police would probably have neighbors spying on the families of JW's.

  @Blondie. Yes, but they are Evangelicals and it is at the core of their religion that they should spread their message. Also, there are those who don't have families.

  Please remember that the old Soviet Union had a wealth of experience dealing with the WT. Under persecution the meetings were limited to groups of about 8-10 people gathered like for a social get together. The limitation for families only will take care of that.

  Most likely the State will have neighborhood watchers checking any JW suspicious activity.
