    Seriously, though…

…ten bucks says this is a response to rampant “apostasy”.

The more (and longer) they disfelloshipped removed folks for stupid shit, the less scared (and therefore likelier) they were to look at XJW material on the net…

…and once that happens, they almost never go back.

The JW religion boils down to one rule: "The Watchtower organization is always right."

You're absolutely right. When I was dfd coz I couldn't be arsed to toe the line, I did figure I'd be back within the year.

I was warned by family that'd I'd 'be devoured' out there in the wicked world.

Immediately on leaving I found the most genuine caring people. The WT wants us to believe that everyone is evil, even if they seem ok. What a far cry from Jesus way of talking about and treating people, like lost sheep, not evil snakes!!

After 15 years out I can honestly say I have not come across any other group of people as gossippy, slanderous, clicky and judgemental as the JWs.

    KERRY KING:

As somebody who was not born in the JW religion, I found their stand against so-called worldly people to be ridiculous.

I came to see, as you did, that the Witnesses were very unloving and cliquey. ‘Worldly’ people could run rings around Witnesses in being loving and charitable. When I examined the Witness philosophy about life I found it ridiculous.

Jehovah’s Witnesses play a dangerous game of pretend and act like they are a little village in ancient Israel. In this village everybody’s needs are taken care of. Well, the REALITY is that they are not. They are a religion made up of people who have to go OUT into the real world to get employment and their education as well. They have to FUNCTION in the real world. Witnesses mentally cripple their people so they cannot function.

As somebody raised Catholic who came into the JWs as a young working adult, I could see their mindset was absurd - and that’s why they could never convince me to do something so stupid as to quit a good job to be in an unpaid ministry!

    Worldly people hey??

I think its just the Borgs stance to firm-up their us vs. them mentality.

When you're out there in there in the workforce,,, and daily activities you see how ''worldly" people are.

Most people are humane,, hospitable & down to earth. The jws us vs them & black & white thinking isn't that ""black and white"". Its just to firm-up their persecution complex.

The same is for within the congregations. Their are people you "can't stand" in the jws as with people out of the Borg. People,, criminals,, whatever.

Black & white thinking,, us vs them mentality,,,, it isn't that clear!!!

This is probably what the WTS uses to equate "removing" to "disfellowshipping."

    WT 9/1/1962 p. 535

    • Remove the wicked man from among yourselves.’” (1 Cor. 5:11, 13)

      ...

Paul did just that when he disfellowshiped Hymenaeus and Alexander for subverting the faith of some by false teachings.—1 Tim. 1:20; 2 Tim. 2:17, 18.

" remove the wicked man from among you" in wt land means to induce full on cult shunning.

    Thanks Blondie!!
