That $66 story is made up. Any God who gives $66 dollars to a cult member, but "allows" children to die from starvation by the millions, does not deserve worship.

    Try this:

    1) Aquire a pendulum or use a piece of string with a small object on the end for weight.

    2) Calm your thoughts and focus on the region of your "third eye."

    3) Say out loud, "This pendulum will provide me with accurate answers. My subconscious mind will not interfere with the movements of this pendulum. A forward and backwards swing will mean, "Yes." A left to right motion will mean "No."

    4) Hold the string or chain in either hand, at arms lenght, or whatever is comfortable. You may sit in a chair, or kneel. Just make sure you are comfortable. A quite atmosphere is best.

    5) Ask your question. For example: "Is the WTBTS the one true religion?" Or, " Should I go in field service today?" Also, " Is Data-Dog attractive?"

    Let me know your answers!!

Batman? You know pagans pray to Batman, right?

I'm here to tell you that The Incredible Hulk is the true God ...

If you peasants and pagans repent, Hulk will have mercy on your souls

Praying to a rich guy with expensive vigilante toys?

Just pray to thor. At least hes a real god and his standards are pretty relaxed, no sacrifices or field service or other nonsense. Hate ice giants and drink a mead or two is pretty much the extent of it...

I hate that we were fooled.
I hate that I have given up all of my adult life in a delusion.

I love that I am free.

    Amen brother (pun intended).

I think that may be why many never wake, the fear of living with being fooled so badly is scary

Believers in prayer are the best evidence of its triviality.

Jehovah supposedly hears the individual's prayer and gives them something non-life saving to take care of their "needs" in a well off community but every where else on planet Earth where divine intervention would actually make a significant contribution, nothing. Absolutely nothing.

What gets me is those who extol the virtues of prayer adduce its individual impact whilst untroubled about its absence where it is actually and desperately needed.

Prayer: The narcissist's belief in a God who cares about them but is indifferent to the "big" issues of life and death every where else.

Prayer is an "odd" concept, and i find that it is twisted, quite heavily by JW's, and even others, for that matter. JW's love to say their prayers were, or are answered, and sometimes it was for such trivial, and nonsensical things. As others in this thread have said, though, there are many, many prayers by Witnesses too, that NEVER get answered. There are many Witnesses, who are suffering from major health issues, utter poverty, and tons of unforseen things. Why arent those ones prayers answered, but some asshole pioneer who needs $66 bucks, gets an answer to a prayer???? Think of the absurdity of that comment, and the narciccism of that person.

There is the "brother" who is a contractor, and he is praying for the rain to go away, so he can finish his job, and get paid, to feed his family. Then there is the "brother", in the same town, who is a farmer, and he is praying FOR rain, to help his crops, so he to can feed his family too.

If it rains, does Jehovah "hate" the JW contractor, over the JW farmer? Or if it doesnt rain, does Jehovah "hate" the JW farmer, over the JW contractor?

When we express our most intimate thoughts to God in prayer, he may answer us through a Bible passage, an article in a magazine, or an encouraging word from a fellow believer. -August 2015 Watchtard

It is somewhat odd that 'God' feels the need to use indirect methods to communicate.

As human knowledge has increased over the centuries, God's direct communication with his so-called 'creation' has dwindled down to a select few with auditory or mental issues.
