I find it hard to compare Jim Jones to the Jehovah's Witnesses.
It's like comparing Obama to Hitler. You can say it. But just because you hate Obama doesn't make him Hitler.

When Jonestown happened my wife and I had been out for over a decade. And while at first I didn't feel that there was a direct comparison to the WTBTS, It did cause me to revisit the blood issue and I realized that that amount of needless death was happening to the JW's in hospital rooms, trauma centers, and in homes all unknown or unobserved by the public in the cities and towns they lived in...........and it was happening every year right up to the present moment! -

There are no armed guards at the KHs.
The most they can do to you if you stop going is not talk to you - once I accepted that that was a price worth paying, I stopped going.
