“There may be occasions when it would be good for us to reconsider a choice or decision. It could be when the prevailing circumstances change. Jehovah altered his decision at times when circumstances changed. (1 Ki. 21:20, 21, 27-29; 2 Ki. 20:1-5) Or new information may provide us with a valid reason to adjust a decision. King David was given faulty information about Saul’s grandson Mephibosheth. When David later received accurate information, he amended his decision. (2 Sam. 16:3, 4; 19:24-29) At times, it may be wise for us to do similarly.”

Excerpt From: WATCHTOWER. “The Watchtower, March 2017.”

When we discover our association with the CCOJW is based on faulty information, and we find better accurate information, changing our mind about what we believe (apostasy) is the right and proper thing to do.

Maybe they are thinking about dropping 1914 so they dont look like lying corrupt idiots.

The leaders of the WTS have always been slimy corrupt charlatans, not exactly truthful adherents to Scripture or the words of Jesus Christ.

IIRC this statement has been used by wts repeatedly, always immediately preceding some policy flip flop or failed prophecy.

They make a sly reference to a vow (as compared to a mere decision) that has to be obeyed, par 18: "-- he expects us to follow through on other decisions ( like vows? dedication?) that we make [made] on his guidance.

strange that wt will disfellowship people for disagreeing on doctrinal decisions , they made, that they later change, but will not automatically reinstate those that had it right in the first place,

The gist is, if you make the decision to allow wt to make doctrinal, prophetic decision for you, don't blame them for you being so gullible.

It is now acceptable for a JW to decide to 'reconsider his decision.' This also means that it is acceptable for a JW to decide to reconsider his decision to 'reconsider his decision.'

    Overlapping decisions.

new information may provide us with a valid reason to adjust a decision. King David was given faulty information about Saul’s grandson Mephibosheth. When David later received accurate information, he amended his decision.

So prior to our Baptism x amount of years ago the information we recieved then is no longer applicable so we now have a valid reason to adjust our decision because we recieved faulty information and we have amended our decision .

So how the bloody hell are we deemed apostates ?

I think some new light might be shining our way soon.

If they drop 1914 i doubt my family would even care.
