No...I was always taught that I would have no chance of ever going to heaven, so I guess I never even really entertained the thought

A JW couple came to visit me at my work today. They are "anointed". They complained that the entire WT. Study was directed toward them because no one believes that they are going to heaven. So the brother called up one of the GB, on Sunday afternoon that he personally knows to complain about the way that the congregation views them. The GB member told them that it's not right for people to judge them. Then he went into how in some countries there exists a "problem" of some young people in their 20's that are now partaking and that obviously they should not. (Of course, he can judge them). This "anointed" friend of mine believe that this GB member is uncomfortable with the Society's position on a number of matters including the heavenly hope issue. He spoke to my friend and his wife for over an hour and didn't have an issue talking to people that are not supportive of the Watchtower beliefs, 100%.......Very interesting to me.....

No but since joining this board, I must admit I've had thoughts about being in Heaven ?

OMG, you guys are so crazy......

Seriously though, if there is an afterlife, I would hope it would be more of a spiritual existance. Does that have to mean heavenly? Im not so sure anymore.

Well I could never hope to express myself as eloquently as AGuest did, but I've always enjoyed living on this little planet. I've never really wanted to go to heaven. I'm not very curious about it and given the choice I would prefer staying right here. I rather enjoyed the idea of living an extremely long time and having the time to explore the cosmos.

But whatever happens when I die I am at peace with it. If God sees fit to include me, then I am overjoyed. If not, then I know it was a wise and just decision and that's all I could ever ask for.

I didnt then and I still wont. What I want to happen to me is whatever happens to good people when they die. Whatever it may be.
