    hi brummie!

i didnt go out on field service when i didnt have doubts, let alone when i did!

informal witnessing was my forte. and i still caried on doing it when i had doubts even to today. why? because i never promoted the WTS as the place to be or its dogma, but just promoted the bible message as it's read, and encouraged others to find out for themselves.

It's funny, i found that when I was out door to door if I just relaxed instead of trying to say what they tell you to say, and be myself, I placed 100 percent more than when I was stressed on my form. I went out once and placed 17 magazines in a row of like, 8 houses I think... =) I was placing back issues, it was great. God I wish I remember where that neighborhood was so i could apologize. ^_^

    Wow Brummie,

That day I placed 32 magazines

Was there a coupon for a free big mac in that magazine.

    Hi Brummie

32 magazines, very impressive. Our family used to place that many years ago before the territories were worked over so often that the householders became annoyed at the witnesses returning so often. I think it took a lot of guts to go back and apologize to those householders. Good for you.

Did I have doubts? Of course I did. But I would tuck them away in the back of my mind and pretend that everything was fine. It was not fine. There were a lot of bells going off all those years as a witness, something there that I can not explain. Slowly, after seeing many things wrong in the different congregations that our family belonged to, I came to the realization that while I was sacrificing my life and the life of my children to the WTBS, the WTBS was becoming a very, very rich corporation and my family was suffering as a consequence of being faithful slaves to a cult. I just wish that my husband and I had acted sooner. We would have saved our family a lot of heartache.

I congratulate you, too, Brummie, on going back to those you had been canvassing and doing studies with! I think it'd be pretty wonderful to have ex-JWs placing tracts that give the lowdown on the WT. A prophylactic approach, from those who know best...
