Way to go Blondie. You got it!

I just hope it doesn't come back to bite you in the butt.

Bring it on. I'm not afraid. I don't relish the idea of a fight, but as long as they leave me and mine alone, I'll leave them alone. I don't know how people of good conscience could read Nina's letter and not feel cut to the heart. It must be a miserable life to be that hollow inside.

Whoops! I was logged in as Nina. This is Big Tex.

Big Tex, cynical fellow that he is, said Osbeck was probably trying to get all of the details of the memorial service so he could see if some charge could be leveled at us. He's probably right.

    Maybe not...

I mean, I hate the JW's as much as the next person, but they are people, well some of them, and they do have hearts, again some of them...

I don't see how anyone who read your letter, after knowing your father, could not be anything but moved, and feel really ashamed for they way they behaved. It's possible this guy is just concerned.

I know what I just said isn't very popular, but I don't like to pretend to know people's actions...anyone's. It's something I need to work on, I know I can be just as quick to judge as the next person, but I am getting better.

I think you took a great big step in sending this letter, and given the situation -- it HAD to be sent! There was no excuse for their behavior. It was obvious to me when I read it that you took a lot of time constructing it, that it was very painful/emotional for you to let all that out on paper...unless this elder dude is a robot how could he not be moved and concerned?

I dunno...just my worthless two cents...

It's NOT worthless, joanna -- your opinion means a lot to me! I do hope you are right -- I'd like to think that people's better nature would come out of this. Big Tex likes to be prepared for the worst, so he won't be caught blindsided. We'll see what happens! I feel pretty serene either way. It felt good getting it out, and if the letter does some good I will be absolutely thrilled.

    Love,

    Nina

Just to let you know that I have always enjoyed reading your posts and that of Big Tex's and more recently Jennie.

You have really been put through some horrible stuff, but you sound as if you have a lovely husband and a great network of friends. You are being positive, and your family will also feed off this. Talking is the best therapy. Cuddles are the next best therapy!!

As far as the 'elders' are concerned - so what - what can man do to you? - here one day gone the next. The only thing with this bunch is that the elders think your life is still entwined with the JWs. - hey wake up mr elder - we are not bothered anymore by your silly pettiness and whims which change with the weather.

Oh I wish I could meet up with you and give you a BIG hug, but know that one comes over the web(((((((((())))))))))))).

Keep going, and keep smiling and the world will smile with you, and cry with you, but know that we all care.

Yours friends here in the UK

Thanks, Chris & Cath & Blondie & Tres Happy & everyone else! And I hope one day to come with the family over to England for a visit. Jennie is very much wanting to go because she looks on England as the Land of Bears, thanks to Harrod's. That's her Mecca. Your support is invaluable and I love you all dearly.

Hi Christine. I haven't forgot about you. We still need to talk. You and Chris can expect a call from me soon. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
