  The issue is that you are claiming to have proof of the WTS laundering money. This is a very serious claim and a very serious crime. Let me reprint the meaning of money laundering:

  Money laundering occurs when illegal income is made to appear as if it came from a legitimate source in order to avoid suspicion from the government. By using money laundering criminals are able to create a front for their illegal activities. Criminals want to move the money so that investigators cannot follow it and trace it back to illegal acts.

  You do not present evidence to support your claim.

  Why don't you wait for events to unfold and allow us to see the evidence before you get all worked up or you start accusing members of this forum of trashing Free Minds?

  That had the news in a post ,new to me that the WT is listed as a contact on the website of an Armenian political group.. It also had an e mail link to the WTBTS , (London I that) so I did .

  I'd like to make an apology to Randy for being too hasty in the things I said in this thread. I wasn't too wise as to the people involved in freeminds [namely, Randy] but I am now after checking the website out in more detail. Sorry again, I wouldn't have been so trivial with my comments.

  I think the reason why you got the reaction you did promoting Randy's tape was because you built it up so much, got us thinking that their was undeniable proof of such activities, got our hopes that this organisation could fall and people could be freed of the lies and see the truth even through the cloud that they are lost in. Not to be, I suppose.

  Quite so!!! Responsibility is called for here. Of course, disagreeing with the "rush to judgment" crowd usually gets one branded as a "JW apologist". Sorry to disappoint that crowd. It is more important not to have to become a "‘POSTATE APOLOGIST".

  And as has been shown in the recent war, "first reports" are frequently in error. This site, by rights, probably has a higher per-capita density of critics than any other site on the Web. The "town-crier" for questionable reporting can only expect to be "stoned".

  I'm fine folks, no need for apology. But the poor guy who sent the tape was understandably hurt by the comments and won't be back for awhile, if ever. . I've got a thick skin after all these years, but sometimes newer ones are really hurt and take things personally. Please think twice before you say something unkind, that's all I suggest. :-))

  I feel bad that I didn't have the time to put up the rest of his information as yet. He and I had the background info, you guys did not. It is part of the larger picture of the WT's ten-year old voyeurism into politics and public opinion, a distinct compromise from years gone by, as us old-timers know all too well. There is enough evidence to show that along with the WT's involvment in the United Nations, their "duties" as an NGO go so far as to joining the Armenian National Committee and promoting what is really a form of interfaith efforts as well as public support of nationalistic programs, and receiving money for such efforts. While newer ones may think there is nothing wrong with that (and they are right), it is a BOLD DEPARTURE from attitudes in years gone by, attitides that are still reflected in their literature. While I fully support this worthwhile commemoration, I am extremely troubled that the Turkish government has been allowed to pressure our government into compromising on this fundamental human rights issue. The absence of discussion on the Armenian Genocide is particularly troubling given that the Steering Group's Statement of Commitment specifically notes that its mission is to "promote education and research about the Holocaust and other genocide... to make sure that the lessons of such events are fully learnt." It is my understanding that the reasons cited by the Home Office for excluding mention of the Armenian Genocide were that such mention would somehow detract from the "contemporary relevance" of the commemoration and risk diluting its message by including "too much history." The Holocaust Day memorial programs should include a careful examination of the implications of the Armenian Genocide for the systematic massacres which followed - including the genocide of European Jews, Gypsies, and Poles by Nazi Germany, and those that followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, and elsewhere. The inclusion of Armenian Genocide is all the more important given the Turkish government's ongoing campaign to deny this crime against humanity. It is the responsibility of all of us who share a commitment to human rights to reject this shameful campaign and to resist any politically motivated efforts to deny or cover up genocide, past or present. In recent weeks, we have seen the European Parliament, French Senate, and Italian Parliament all adopt Armenian Genocide resolutions Pope John Paul II, on November 9th, issued a powerful statement on the Genocide of the Armenians. The consideration of the Armenian Genocide, rather than including "too much history," would help illuminate the patterns and precedents of genocide in the 20th century.   Not in an of itself...but we are all aware of how the WTS hypocritically dabbles in political action groups and interfaith initiatives, and NGO-type groups, when it suits them. I'm sure our resident hawkaw as well as Randy and others will be filling us in with details and supporting evidence quite shortly. The precedents have already been proven, so I'll give any of this research more weight than not, and I don't need it to convince me of what is really going on with the WTS. This cult hurts people, and it hurts families, plain and simple.

  My personal opinion is that there are some Zionist-type influences, and right-wing fundy Bush-crime-family-type hyper-religionists are right up the WTS's alley, and are in bed with and share many of the WTS's goals, and behave quite the same way. I can't prove that, but I'll bet you a timbit and a coffee that at least a grain of this is the case. Following the money trail, of course, is going to lead to more evidence of the UN-NGO calibre. After all, the Russell family bloodline founded the Yale's skull and bones society, and these roots are related to Freemasonry, and there can't be anything good coming out of that. That's just one opinion, though, and I'm always considering other suggestions...

  Just the simple admission that they are doing ANY WORLDLY ORGANIZATIONAL LECTURING in support of any group's objectives is hypocritical in and of itself, considering what they are teaching, and what they have taught, through the pages of their litterature.

  I have to agree that I did not hear any real admissions from the WT, but they did not deny anything either. Although I would say the situation is definintely fishy, the guy recording the phone call seemed to be a little too confident.

  I sent an email to the WT asking if they were the spawn of Satan. They replied within an hour saying not only are they the spawn of Satan, but they are also the leaders of the Bilderberg group.

  If the fellow that recorded that tape got his feelings hurt from these responses then so be it. I've no pity for a person who makes a feeble attempt to entrap someone else and to make unfounded implications of wrong doing. The WT guy was probably trying to get off the phone as quick as possible, so as not to waste his time over some nutty guy with a $5 donation. And when he tried to entrap him with saying it was for military, political, etc, etc, the Wt fellow simply corrected him saying it was received for the Holocaust fund...groan!
