Please ... does any gardener fancy paying us a visit?

We have a small front garden and a big back one, both need help.

We're currently clearing the back garden and have a skip full of bricks, slabs and rocks plus a shad (when I demolish it)

It will be nice when it's finished and the kids have a nice big lawn to play on (it is nicer than where we used to live with a Coronation Street 6x6 back yard) but so much more effort!!

Oh no, now he's asking for help here too

Simon was thanking Jehovah (first time in years!) on Monday when he woke up and it was pouring with rain, unfortunately for him it cleared up lovely in the afternoon so we were able to work on the garden

Dansk - he means shed! - he's getting a rest at the moment because we cant really do much more until our new shed is delivered, then we have to demolish the old giant rotting one. Then we will be able to turf the lot and have a nice lawn.

Two years ago when I moved into a new location I dug up all kind of shrubs and flowers and transplanted them. It was looking splendidly. Then I had to move again--and I said "no, I'm not doing it all over again." This time, only ferns, and small plants in hangers and pots. If I see I will be here a very long time I might consider doing another garden.

My garden is so well established now that I have transplanted so much to the other neighbors. I do need to get some Watchmen HollyHocks they are almost a black and I'm doing a mostly white garden in the back it's called a "Moonlight" garden

When I first married & moved into my new husband's house and land.......you could tell he loved old cars.....and lived on a couple of acres in the south. Our back area had at least 50 old cars (very restorable I was told), a semi-tractor the color of 40 yr old rust....and god only knows what else.

For 10 yrs., - we *removed.* For the last 15, I've planted and threatened to get an underground water sprinkler system. Thus, my honey handles the water situation for me.

Seeing we had so much land (did I mention the previous owner ran a gravel business on this land) to do, I would barter with my kids...."You want money/cokes/shoes/funky school clothes (I bartered everything).....then help me in the garden."

They still intensely dislike gardening. I, however, now have to do my own weeding. Ugh! But flowers are wonderful - all colors, shapes, smells, etc.
