I didn't bother becoming a JW. That organization was shoved down my throat since the day I was born. I didn't have a choice.
I'm quite sure I'm not the only born in who had to struggle to live and be whoever they choose.
I can add a few more. BTW, I'm proud of each one of my actions.
That's what they get when they try to grow converts since the day they are born.

Scratchme being duplicitous is the only way a fiercely independent person can survive after being dragged into the 'tooth'. All the JW's want is to train young people and adults to live in a world that doesn't exist.

I don't know if this was a "directive" or a suggestion: but I BLATANTLY ignored the advice to quit my decent full-time job and pursue poverty by doing housecleaning part-time and door-to-door activity the rest of the time.
No, I certainly was not accepting this poverty the religion was pushing mostly for single women, along with their custom of getting single women to do favors for all the users in the hall. Hell no.
When I looked around the Kingdom Hall, I saw the married women with their comfortable lives - and usually some "worldly" man who worked 40 years to provide them with a pension so they COULD go tripping along ringing doorbells and going on coffee breaks.
No, this idiot religion could go to hell with all the hypocrites within. Thankfully, I'm retired now and would run from all the JWs and their appeals for money.

Heavy drinking, when I saw other elders guzzle like a fish I ignored it especially when the elder giving the talk was one of those elders,,,,,Beating your kids something I could not justify, i was never beaten by my none JW parent....

Eating holiday candy and birthday cake, saluting the flag at school, lying about being a jw, watched rated r movies, watched twilight with a worldly girl, read a few erotic novels, masturbated, cussed, listened to music with cuss words, read about magic and did a few wiccan spells, read many books about vampires, werewolves, and wizards, dissobeyed my parents, and i hardly ever read the watchtower or awake. Jeez am I worldly or what?! Lol
