Hopefully some younger, newer once will ask themselves or the longtimers, " why did you think you were in the "truth" when in fact it was error, and now is thinly disguised lies?

I remember having to grapple with the split Great Tribulation (cracked open between 1918 and Armageddon)to allow the Great Crowd to spill out in the middle, the hiatus. Because their appearance was duting the great tribulation, their coming out.

David Splane has declared the generation to be the anointed, but alongside them have to live the other humans. so, the Great Crowd are overlapping sheep too.

Crazyguy218 hours agoThey just say whatever they want and people will just believe because it’s gods organization. The people in the organization are just so ignorant and arrogant at the same time.

Ray Franz said JW's are "Captives of a Concept". Once they accept the concept that the Governing Body is who they are claiming to be, everything they say from then on is gospel even if it makes no sense or gets changed later.

The whitewash of the convolured past wt teachings shows that the pilots at the control of wt inc were flying blind and still are, now that their basic teaching 1914 has been rationalized by an overlapping anointed and OS " Look a Great Crowd" generation.

Has it dawned on them, that going down the same flight path that has been proven wrong will end badly?

I seldom go to meetings, and never read the WT, but today I did and couldn't help carefully reading the WT today.

I have read all the Studies in the Scriptures some years ago, and lots of the early literature. I used to have all the Zions Watchtower reprints and spent a fair amount of time reading through them. I can't help but feel there was some mis-stating of the facts this morning about the beliefs of the Bible Students.

First thought: The 'Great Multitude' (ie Great Crowd) to the Bible Students was the heathen nations, all the non-Christendom nations. The non-elect nominal Christians were the secondary heaven class 'before the throne''. I forget where the Jews fell in to this scheme. Today's WT made it sound like the Great crowd was the secondary heavenly class before the throne, which I think is not a correct statement.

Second: There was a lot of discussion of the 'before the throne'' , 'in the courtyard' (naos) identification in the early '80's because this was a major tenent of the ápostates'' who were purged in the '81 - '82 period. Which makes me wonder what has motivated them to dig all this up again in today's WT. Is there a resurgence of the '81 beliefs I haven't heard about?

Just my thoughts, feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

    drop oykl:

as stated in the OP, they did not go into rhe "naos" temple inner court yards.

wt presented "straw man "arguments to hide the elephants in the room. For example

page sixty makes a big deal of the big increase after the "lead to eternal life" book, but did not mention, it was caused by their assertion therein that 1975 would be the beginning of the millennium paradise, and the jws scramble to not miss that leaky boat.

To put it all in perspective: the part in the text " washed their sins -- white robes" robs the whole discussion of real meaning, because it links it to the talking snake of the error -filled Genesis account

The mere fact that they admit they are not inspired gives them the excuse to say whatever they like and then change it suit their agenda at the appropriate time because the light got brighter.

aa: yeah, flying blind. but as the opening song 60 said: "it is your life and their's" . going back to the illustration of the 'tacking sailboat'. Wt never was on the right course., doctrinally speaking. one day it is going to be on the rock with crew and passengers. A voyage that even by their tacit admission can last to 2075.

    tacky wt tacking tactics.

Par. 18 states that "Jehovah has fulfilled that prophecy"That is a grave mis - statement/ The prophecy, in the story will be fulfilled after *** the Great Tribulation, when " salvation we owe --"can be shouted, when there are no more tears.

Implicating the creator in the burst of enthusiasm generated by wt's 1975 false alarm prophecy.

***wt April 1995 question from reader." --describing the crowd only after Armageddon--"

Now that is something I clearly remember them saying ,apparently they don`t even believe their own words.

Or to put it another way "WT/JW speak out of both sides of their mouth "
