I think the elder started out by watching woman's beach volleyball tournaments on TV. And soon, after getting addicted, he got brave enough to actually go to the public swimming pools and beaches in his area.

Best advices from Riley, never tell an Elder anything, they'll ALWAYS use it against you..
They are taught to act friendly and welcoming just for you to confess them your sins and then BAM ! They switch from warm to cold and bring a comitee against you all the times..

Sea Breeze:
no credit to God for victory over this or any other addiction
Riiiight. God will help you beat addiction but congenital diseases - not so much. Won't lift a finger to protect you from an assailant or rapist either.
God's got weird priorities.

Riley: I could just imagine the type of questions that were asked ?
When I was in, I would have found this question ludicrous. No way would such devout men stoop to something as repulsive as asking unnecessary and invasive questions. After having read some of the experiences of abuse survivors and the questioning they were subjected to, I cringe to think what this CO asked those elders. And I wonder if the elders might have gotten just a slight bit of self-awareness from being on the other end of it.
Probably not, but there is always hope that at least one of them will understand how awful it is.

Good lord.
I cringed so hard I think I pulled a muscle (sorry).
The ability of the WTS to shoot itself in the foot never ceases to amaze me.
As noted in the earlier post on this thread, if this were rigorously enforced, they’d lose half their elders and three-fourths of their MS overnight.
The true believer elders, the ones they want to keep, would see this and think “OMG, I’ve offended Jehovah, I must confess immediately and lose my privileges in order to keep my precious relationship with Jah”.
The PIMOs, the cynics, the power hungry narcissists, the ones they don’t really want, would see this and think “dang, I better clear my browser and search history ASAP” or at the very least, “if I have any problems with my laptop or phone, I am absolutely never giving it to a fellow JW for repairs”.
Well done, whoever is leaking these.

I watched a few brief minutes of this. It's all I can stand. The cultspeak and weird ass monotone way of speaking and bullshit acting is just an insult and assault of my intelligence.
NO ONE in the real world talks or acts like this. No one. This is all JW cult bullshit. Just like Scientology and Mormons have weird ass meetings and "cultspeak", so too do the JW's. Try watching the documentary "Going Clear" with that actor who escaped. He rambles on and on at one point using Scientology lingo that is like total gibberish to a normal person. It means nothing because it IS nothing!
So too are the way JW's speak. They are infantilizing and an assault against any grown, fully-formed adult psyche. But you see, that's the problem here. There is no one left in this cult except the born-ins who now operate at a nearly toddler-level of comprehension.
What grown-ass man even feels he has to speak to other grown-ass men and confess such petty bullshit? Ya know, it's not even like a Catholic confessional where you go into a booth, kneel, confess some sins (major or minor) to an anonymous Priest, and then are given some assignments and also forgiven. THAT seems pretty clear cut and simple. This bullshit is all petty, so very NOT private, drawn out into actual fucking multi-part COMMITTEE MEETINGS, and then you are STILL NOT "forgiven." You're "removed" and then have to be publicly shamed and then grovel on an on for 1+years to get back into the Elder's good graces. But wait! UNLESS you are an upstanding ELDER with a good reputation, handing a lot of Congregation responsibilities, no one knows about your "sins", and you are all repentant cause it happened years ago. Well golly-gee! ALL IS FORGIVEN! Carry on then, Elduh Whacksalot! Hardy-Har-Har!
What a double-standard. What a Good ol' Boys Club! GTFOOH with this dumbass shit, WT HQ!!!
I laugh at how WT HQ is standing around scratching their heads, and scratching their asses, asking:
"Gee, why is everyone leaving? Why can't we find help? Where are the youth?"
Big mystery Gluttonous Bozos; big mystery.

Nicolaou,
God ... Won't lift a finger to protect you from an assailant or rapist....
You have no way of knowing if this is true or not, especially since you are an atheist.
As you already know, the answer to evil is to either judge it or take away our free will, make us robots and prevent the possibility of evil. Over and over a man who predicted that he would die and raise himself from the dead, while he was dead, said that there would be a personal judgment for everyone. That is God's answer to the problem of evil. You just don't like it, even though you have no clue of a practical and acceptable alternative.
Billions of people have rejected the meaningless atheist drivel like what you present. It offers no hope, no justice and no solution to the problem of evil or death.Building on this ignorance, you "reason" that faith based addiction programs are a waste of time since evil still exists.
This study reviews the voluminous empirical evidence on faith’s contribution to preventing people from falling victim to addictions and helping them recover from it. 73% of addiction treatment programs in the USA include a spirituality-based element, as embodied in the 12-step programs and fellowships initially popularized by Alcoholics Anonymous, the vast majority of which emphasize reliance on God or a Higher Power to stay sober.
The nearly 130,000 congregation-based substance abuse recovery support programs in the USA contributes up to $316.6 billion in savings to the US economy every year at no cost to tax payers. 84% of scientific studies show that faith is a positive factor in addiction prevention or recovery.

When was this video produced? I thought they were easing up on the porn viewing thing because they were losing too many appointed men. Is this video several years old or is it actually "new" as the OP indicates?

WingCommander - “…I laugh at how WT HQ is standing around scratching their heads, and scratching their asses, asking: ‘Gee, why is everyone leaving? Why can't we find help? Where are the youth?’…”
I guarantee that some of ‘em really do keep asking that, because the actual explanation…
…that more and more members are realizing that it’s not the Truth…
…is inconceivable to them.

How many of these people were god believers (USA is a Christian country)before they sadly succumbed to their addiction?
Again can you please provide independently verified evidence that a miracle worker called jesus existed and did the all the things that the bible claims he did.
