Answer to the 1st question: Spiritual but not religious. Don't know if I believe in god.

Answer to 2nd question: I am going to Niagara Falls on vacation starting August 2nd.

The plain fact of the matter is that by the time a person discovers the truth about what the JW's call 'the truth' very few of us seek out another religion.

Some do of course because they feel a connection to a God and or his son. That's a personal matter.

As far as the JW's go you can start with the fact that they did not start as a religion. It was the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society a corporation that was a publishing house. After losing 70 percent of their followers.......... the international Bible Students....... they decided to re-brand their remaining followers as Jehovah's Witnesses in 1931.

If you are longing for a high control religion that doesn't trust a follower to come to their own conclusions about a wide variety of issues this is the religion for you.

If obedience is more important to you then an honest faith.......... this is the religion for you.

If you think that punishing a believer who does not want to die for lack of a life saving blood transfusion, the only religion in the world that does so, this is the religion for you.

The JW.org religion does an amazing job of turning people AWAY from any form of faith in a divine entity (God)

My post in that thread gives a number of ways in which the WT convinces outsiders that it's "the truth."

However, its claim to be "the truth" isn't true.
