In fact Im engaging in a personal crusade to rid my neighbourhood of them. Im catching them, driving out to a field 10 miles away in the country, and letting them free.

Ooooh, beautiful girl! And beautiful Classic tabby pattern!! Recessive, and thus slightly more rare than the "fish bone stripes" of a mackerel tabby!

I wouldn't worry about the plastic thing...peeing outside the litter box is almost always a sign there is something physically wrong, like a urinary tract infection. (it's one of those "get to a vet!" signs) Or sometimes an "I don't like that other cat using the same box I do" snit. Or, less often "you did something I don't like so I'm going to do something you don't like." It's not terribly common for a single cat to have issues about improper litterbox habits unless there is something physically wrong.

Is that a dachshund? I love black and tan dachsies!!!

Obviously you really are a newbie when it comes to this. Don't you know that you have joined the world of people who are owned by cats? Definitely not the other way around as per your thread title. You'll learn in time.

Congratulations! What a dear, sweet thing to do. I'm sure your new baby appreciates it. (I must say that I think "Stevie" would be a fabulous name, especially given the head movements you've described.)

Wildhorses: She reminds me of Wolverine LOL Enjoy here oh I find the Arm and Hammer litter the best the one with crystals rocks but is hard to find. I also love the litter pan that scoops but ours now isn't sensing correctly so I'm a pooper scooper

Shelia, I bout fresh step scoop. That is what the woman I got her from was using and I didn't want to switch it on her.

This cat amazes me. She already knows her way around and can jump on the bed, no problem.

Wild: Yep you don't want to change until she adapts I would just start mixing. My Maine Coons don't care just long as it's clean the only time they poop outside the box is when they are mad cause it's not cleaned LOL My female would pee on everything until she was fixed now she is a doll
