Minimus and OhHappyDay... may you both have peace!

If this serves to "move" you to partake of my Lord's flesh and blood, may I ask you:

    1. What does John 6:48-56 (especially 51-53) now mean for you? and

    2. Didn't EVERYONE who left Egypt, Israel and vast mixed crowd (alien resident)alike: a. Celebrate the Passover (Exodus 12:48) b. Pass through the Red Sea (Exodus 12:37, 38) c. Eat the manna (Numbers 11:4-6) d. Drink from the rock-mass (1 Corinthians 10:1-3) e. Enter into the Law Covenant at Sinai (Exodus 20:8; 12:49)

You are to be commended for "hearing"... and for your courage... and know that should you decide to prove true to your words, you will NOT be alone:

    Revelation 3:20

May the undeserved kindness and mercy of my God and Father, the Holy One of Israel, whose name is JAH... of Armies... and the peace of His Son and Christ, my Lord, JAHESHUA MISCHAJAH... be upon you.

Your servant, as I am servant to all those of the Household of God, Israel, and those that go with them... and a slave of Christ... to time indefinite...

    Hey publisherpaul,

    Nice to have you here.

the ancient Hebrew Prophets had no concept of a heavenly hope and so they had salvation with-out being born again

The ancient hebrews didn't believe a lot of thing the N.T. writers believed.

If I were you....I would look into why there was a DRASTIC change of IDEAS from the two groups. You might also explore the idea of WHY god was so murderous and vengefull in the O.T.,.....and Jesus was EXACTLY the opposite in the N.T.

Since you are at a point of questioning things........examine the Bible from BOTH sides. The sceptical side.......and the believers side. Doing this first may save you years of bewilderment.

Actually, they believed the same thing: that their would be a REAL life... in a REAL city... having REAL foundations... which meant it would be SPIRITUAL vs. PHYSICAL... and it would be on the earth ("heaven... on earth.")

The ancients were waiting for the same thing as the 1st century believers: Eden... a SPIRIT place... restored on earth. ("Thy kingdom COME... thy will be done ON EARTH... AS it is in heaven."

    Peace to you!

    A slave of Christ,

    SJ
