Thank you all for putting up those clips , David Bowie was introduced to me by my young son who had a fascination for him and KISS , being a good obedient JW I soon banned KISS but tolerated Bowie.Offhand I think this must have been in the 70`s , my young son is now 48 .LOL

And yes possum " Ground Control " is also one of my favourites too.

I have loved David Bowie since I first heard him in 1972. Afterwards, I realized that it wasn't exactly acceptable among Jehovah's witnesses...I think I once emulated his 'Ziggy' haircut and was criticized for it...oh well. It wasn't until the 1980's and the release of Labyrinth that he came into my life again and later I found that my own daughter adored him. It was with profound sadness that I texted my daughter Monday morning of his passing. We watched Labyrinth together on Tuesday and yes...smiled at the thought that we both have existed at the same time as David Bowie. What a genius he was!

I'm sure that lots of others will be aware already but it might be worth posting that change.org has a petition on it to get some kind of lasting memorial to the great man . Something like getting a star named after him , or his picture on a postage stamp .

Getting my Bowie on today with many of the suggestion I saw here. I use iomoio, and picked up several albums. Particularly enjoyed "Reality" as suggested here, love that song "Days" Mr Flipper. Also loving the VH1 Storytellers, it's a live album with a little background on the songs. Also bought the new one, haven't got to that one yet.

I did not realize how prolific he was. He was a dashing music figure my whole life. Quite a lovely man. Thanks again for the music David.

    Hi Tal xx

There is a wonderful video that was an excellent documentary of his life...his early start and love for music. Very creative. It's somewhere on my timeline.

    I just started "Blackstar".

DAGNEY- Indeed Days is a really good, touching ballad for sure. Nice tune, nice lyrics. Glad to hear you've been getting your Bowie on- me too- been listening to his songs all week on the way to work. What a loss. A real talent he was for sure. I really enjoy the jazz inflected tune " Bring Me the Disco King " on the Reality album. His voice is really great on that song especially . His voice is good anyway- but especially on that song on that album.

TALESIN- Thanks so much for posting the " New Killer Star " youtube of Bowie- love that song ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper
