But this is contradictory to what the prophet Mohammed/Muhammad (however you spell it) said about most of the dwellers in Hell being women. Is there somewhere different that the men are going besides Paradise or Hell?

No idea how far such ideas stretch into the psyche of the majority of adherents but I don't think views like this can be considered harmless eccentricity. This is not the Westboro Church - these people do reach a global audience of malleable minds. The number of Muslims from stable, long standing Western homes that are prepared to make the one way trek to ISIS controlled areas or commit acts of terrorism in the lands of their birth shows how indoctrinated ones can become. That's not to mention the countless number of those already in Muslim lands who are very receptive to the message these nutjob preachers are prepared to peddle.

Their attitudes towards women are shocking. Ironic that were it not for women none of them would have been born. Where did their treatment of women originate? No logic to any of it as far as I can see.

Seriously, these nutty religious ideas clearly make no sense and defy even basic logic. I suppose either Mohammed was either bad at math and logical thinking or he knew that most humans are or both.

Hey, Oubliette. I went to bed last night before I saw your question.

When I say "Keep your superstitions to yourselves." I mean religious people who are incontinent with their religious views, particularly those who use their views as an excuse to effect changes in laws that require others to give them deference or change themselves and their public life in order to appease said religious folks.

Sorry, not a perfect sentence, but I'm still working on my first cup of coffee. :)
