Lets see if that causes a problem. I've been inactive for a very long time now (like 10+ years), so, I don't expect to hear anything from it, but my parents are worried I'll get DF. Lets see what happens.

Well done.
What an abominable religion that lets none of us leave and live our lives in peace after ditching their kooky, ever shifting, crackpot and brainwashing beliefs!

Good for you putting up Christmas lights…I am a long-time ‘Fader’ and I don’t care who sees that I now celebrate the Holidays (again).. I wasn’t raised a JW and always loved Christmas.
RON W:
Yeah it really is an abominable religion that won’t leave people in peace.. If any old JW busybodies stumble upon my FB page they will see undeniable proof that I’m into the Christmas spirit.. After all these years, I am well past caring what those miserable people think.

Miserable people?
I think some people like JWs just like being miserable or making ife miserable for others.
The Borg,,,,,, has it programmed into hate fun & good times. I believe that is why Rutherford pulled holidays and birthdays. He saw people having fun. And he hated it and it tricked down to this day.

I believe the true purpose to get people not to celebrate holidays is to separate them from their non-Witness family and friends. The goal is to isolate them.
The pagan thing is just a convenient excuse. Besides, other things are pagan like days of the week, the calendar, etc. The religion is afraid if the Witness compares the loving treatment by their non-JW family versus the judgmental coldness they get in the Kingdom Hall they won’t want the JW religion anymore. I am sure some people have figured this out.
In my case, I happily reconnected with estranged family and relatives before it was too late. I am ever grateful for this.

I wish I could say the same. My parents are still part of it, and I don’t want them to have to deal with the fallout of me being disfellowshipped. But after 10 years, I think I’ve been patient enough. By their own standards, they’re not supposed to bother me about it anymore.
That said, it really depends on the local congregation and its members. For example, the elders might not care. But it only takes one nosy sister to make me the focus of her conversations with everyone she meets. And just like that—VOILA!—the elders feel compelled to take action.

I've put wonderful solar coloured lights, and fairy lights up in my garden.
They shine beautifully every day of the year, so no spying jw can ever work out what I celebrate or believe.
All my neighbours love the lights. Only the miserable git celebration hating jw's wouldn't like them.
