Did Jesus have a Y chromosome?

Even in Jesus’s day, humans had chromosomes. And so did Jesus —because he was human. So let’s say Jesus took a DNA test, his mitochondrial DNA would go back to Eve but interestingly JC also would inherit DNA from sinful Adam on his mother’s side because his mother Mary passed on to JC DNA from both Adam and Eve. That is very interesting that Jesus inherited sinful Adam’s DNA. Of course, since JC had no human father -according to the Bible- his paternal DNA did not come from Adam so God had to have created it new same as he gave Adam the very first dna before Adam sinned. Any other view explaining JC dna?

In a documentary TV show which talked about the possibility of a human virgin (specifically the one the Bible calls Mary the mother of Jesus) conceiving a male child and giving birth to him by nonsupernatural means), a doctor (or a scientist) said that females of some nonhuman species conceive and give birth to female offspring without the females having been impregnated by sperm, namely by parthenogenesis (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parthenogenesis and https://www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/article/parthenogenesis-how-animals-have-virgin-births ). The person also said that Mary the mother of Jesus (according to the Bible) might have had a Y chromosome along with two X chromosomes, since some women today are XXY. But to some Christians it would make Mary a freak (namely partly male and thus not entirely female) and abnormal if she was XXY in regards to her sex chromosomes, and thus those people don't accept that idea regarding the mother of Jesus.

Fisherman, some of the topics created by you give me the impression that they are intended to create doubts in Christians regarding Christianity, though you claim to be in agreement with the WT in many matters. But perhaps that impression of mine is incorrect. But, perhaps you are beginning to doubt some claims of biblical Christianity or are at least puzzled by some aspects of biblical Christianity.

Folks, asking how a virgin human female could conceive a male child (and give birth to him) is similar to asking how the biblical Eve (a woman) could have been fashioned/made from the biblical Adam (a man whom the Bible claims was a virgin at the time).

Regarding the article at https://www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/article/parthenogenesis-how-animals-have-virgin-births I notice that it mentions that the "process of meiosis also creates a byproduct: smaller cells called polar bodies, distinct from the fertile egg." A first learned of that several years while reading a part of a chapter in a college biology textbook about human reproduction. It had illustrations of the polar bodies and it said that they all die. I was very disturbed to learn that the human process of creating a human fertilized egg (which can become a viable human baby) also always creates cells which become spontaneously aborted.

    Right. Zero doubts.

I have posted many times that God gives convincing evidence to the person seeking Him. That evidence cannot be invalidated.

The web page at Polar body says that some of the Polar Bodies don't always immediately die. The web page says in part the following.

"A polar body is a small haploid cell that is formed at the same time as an egg cell during oogenesis, but generally does not have the ability to be fertilized.

When certain diploid cells in animals undergo cytokinesis after meiosis to produce egg cells, they sometimes divide unevenly. Most of the cytoplasm is segregated into one daughter cell, which becomes the egg or ovum, while the smaller polar bodies only get a small amount of cytoplasm. They frequently die and disintegrate by apoptosis, but in some cases remain and can be important in the life cycle of the organism.[1] "

The medical article called "Polar Bodies – more a lack of understanding than a lack of respect" says the following.

"Polar bodies are as diverse as the organisms that produce them. Although in many animals these cells often die following meiotic maturation of the oocyte, in other organisms they are an essential and diverse part of embryonic development. Here we highlight some of this diversity and summarize the evolutionary basis for their utility.

... A polar body is the byproduct of an oocyte meiotic division. It is the small cell that normally apoptoses, and in textbook figures, it usually just disappears. This portrayal though does not do the cell justice.

Polar bodies typically form by asymmetric cytokinesis: cytosol and organelles are shunted into the secondary oocyte during meiosis I, and then into the egg in meiosis II [Fig. 1]. This leaves the ovum’s sister and aunt (or cousins, if the first polar body also undergoes meiosis II) with relatively little cytoplasm and so in most organisms, these polar bodies simply degenerate. The polar body of human oocytes, for example, apoptoses in 17–24 hours following formation and the resulting fragments remain entrapped within the zona pellucida (Longo, 1997)."

I would like to add that it is immaterial that JC would inherit mitochondrial genes from sinful Mary his natural mother since the perfect seed from God that caused Mary to be pregnant perfected any of Mary’s inherited sinful imperfections being passed on to Jesus. Because had Adam not sinned, his seed would have perfected Eve’s genes at conception and sin would not have been passed on to their offspring. Bible says that is was through Adam than sin gene was passed on and not from Eve. If you read the Gene sis account, Eve was not given the death sentence for eating the fruit. Thus, She died derivatively from Adam. The account suggests that Eve was part of Adam taken from his flesh and sort of like a clone. It is also interesting that the effect of sin began when Adam ate the fruit. The account says that THEN the eyes of both of them were opened but that did not happen at the time she ate the fruit. We at JW belief that had Adam remained perfect could have fixed the sin of Eve probably saving her life but surely not passing sin to their offspring.

The perfect seed, aka the promised seed that made Mary pregnant fixed all imperfect genes passed down to Jesus thus Jesus was born perfect. The point that I was making is that although Eve did not have a human father her dna was taken from the man Adam when she was formed from his rib. Adam’s X and Y chromosome came from God whereas Eve’s dna came from Adam.

Through Mary Jesus inherited Eve’s dna (that originated from Adam anyway) which the perfect seed fixed and made perfect passing perfect mitochondrial genes to Jesus. But Mary also passed on some genetic material from Adam which obviously was fixed in the mix. But the Y chromosome Jesus got came from God his father and not from Mary. Therefore JC had a Y chromosome different from all humanity. —That he did not get from Adam through Mary— but from the promised seed. So God gave Adam and to Jesus different Y chromosomes directly. Jesus dna obviously had genetic material from sinful Adam ( or Adam’s sinful dna). I found that interesting. But because Jesus did not inherited sin Adam’s sinful dna must have been repaired with the promised seed too so that in more ways than one was a perfect Adam.

—This ain’t WT. Im just guessing.

Did Jesus have a Y chromosome? - yes, if he existed.

All men (adult human males) have a Y chromosome. Their sex chromosomes are typically XY.

NB - the Adam & Eve story is just that - a story!

Not if sin is inherited on the Y chromosome. "by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men"

Not if sin is inherited on the Y chromosome.

That is possible. But JC still got some of Adams genetic material which also was affected by sin through Mary. Of course that genetic material had to be repaired by the promised seed but Jesus had some of Adams sinful repaired dna.

For example, you inherited genetic flaws from your maternal great grandfathers. So Jesus also had similar dna but repaired .

Perfected Adam dna. Suppose it’s unremarkable because those that are supposed to live forever after the gt will also have Adams perfected dna.

That is not the subject in question. Need to think in terms of putting the pieces of a picture puzzle together and not distracting by bringing up other questions that don’t contribute to the puzzle.

      Why would you think this?

      Is. 65: 20 -

“No more shall an infant from there live but a few days,

      Nor an old man who has not fulfilled his days;
For the child shall die one hundred years old,
But the sinner being one hundred years old shall be accursed.

He who dies at the age of a hundred will be thought of as dying young; even the sinner, dying before his time as the penalty of his guilt, shall live out the span of a century.

The noticeable fact is that sin is thought of as not altogether extinct—as still appearing, though under altered conditions, even in the New World.
