We were told by Watchtower that no way Jesus was born on Dec. 25th.

    What do you think now?

I think that maybe there was just some guy named Jesus once that people got a bit too excited about and nothing about him ever really should have mattered anymore than an average guy in my neighborhood named Jesus.

Which jesus are we talking about ,their are hundreds if not thousands of beings named Jesus on their birth certificate that have walked this earth since the O year .

Does anyone know of any human being named Jehovah on their birth certificate ? or even YahWeh ?

No. Jesus as portrayed in the Bible is literary fiction. In Paul's letters, written before the 'gospels', the author knows essentially nothing of Jesus' life. Some details are invented by the author of Mark around the time Jerusalem was destroyed and then a few more details (including his genealogy and nativity stories) are invented about a decade after that by the authors of Matthew and Luke (likely based on a common source written after the destruction of Jerusalem).

Though it is possible that the stories about Jesus were loosely based on one or more itinerant preachers, with a core based on a disciple of John the Baptist who was later executed (pretty much the only things scholars generally agree about Jesus' life), there is no reliable information about any other events in his life. Because there happened to be an eclipse in 30CE around the time Jesus was probably killed, that might have contributed to the belief that Jesus was significant. (Jehovah's Witnesses' selection of 33CE is based on their superstitious numerological interpretations of Daniel and can be ignored.)

Plus, Jehovah`s Witnesses base their Biblical Knowledge on a Catholic Bible by Catholic Scholars , but giving their own interpretations of scripture.

Come on... everyone is told these days That December 25th is not really the birth date of Jesus. You can read that in lots of books, see it in tv documentaries....... the date is no longer an issue

Back in the sixties when I first started JW ism it was a surprise for people to learn that, but today? No way..

Jesus wasn't born at all. It is our parent star that is reborn, and yes our sun is what is the real Christ. Our own sun--it "dies" on the "cross" of the Zodiac, and is "reborn" when the days in the northern hemisphere start getting longer on December 25. It saves the earth from darkness and desolation, just as this archetype of the perfect slave supposedly did.

In fact, the jokehovian witlesses know more of the truth than other religions. This makes it even worse that they deliberately go against nature and truth--unlike other religions that either don't know better or that capitulate a bit to nature, jokehovians deliberately go against nature. So Christmas is actually worshiping the sun? What if the sun wasn't there, idiots? Is it a problem with honoring the star that makes life possible on earth at all?

Most likely not but there is really no way to know. As long as there is a 1 in 365 chance he was, lets just say it happened on that date. Who really cares.

Several Biblical approaches for an approximate date, assuming that there was a 'real' Jesus - and I believe there was. Consider the 'course' of John the Baptist's priesthood give us the month he served at the temple and had his vision. That would take us to an October date for Jesus' birth.

The shepherds in the field at night would take us to a similar date, and that removes a December birth.

Also, December 25 is the date for the rebirth of the sun, making it an unlikely date for the birth of God's son.
