  If the Bible was from GOD it would be crystal clear. How would you feel if your professor never told you HOW to succeed in your class and left it up to you to figure it out, and that you only found out when you received your final grade. You flunk my test, Islam was the right religion. OH sh--t I thought it was the JW religion. So God, alternative facts don't cut the mustard....

  I believed Bible is from God till I came across Jeremiah 7:31 where it says 'killing a son to atone the sins of others' have never come up in God's mind. Yet Jesus being killed by the sinners is used as the basis for the absolving of sins which forms bulk of the NT. This was a shock to me--the most important teaching itself is an apostate idea!

  Using a book or a religion cannot be God's way of communication. As Simon once put: trying to find out which scripture or religion is the right one is like trying to find out which neighborhood is the right neighborhood (you have to live as a neighbor to everyone on earth which would take millions of years.

  Just reading the Bible with an unbiased, rational mind convinced me that the Bible is full of BS.

  Example:

  * Earth created in 6 days

  * Contradictory accounts of creation (Gen chap 1 & 2)

  * Talking snake and donkey

  * Beating your slaves ok as long that he doesnt die within 3 days

  * Kidnapping and raping women ok (Deut chap 20-22)

  * Men allowed to have premarital sex but women to be stoned.

  * Poligamy ok but not in NT but only men were allowed.

  * Ok to murder and plunder in OT but not in NT

  Also there is so much contradiction doctrinally

  * Earth to be destroyed.....to last forever....bible says both

  * consciousness after death.....unconsciousness after death...bible says both

  * Revenge good.....revenge bad.....bible says both (read Davids last words to solomon)

  * Jesus is god.....father is greater....bible teaches both

  * Salvation through works.....salvation through faith....bible says both

  Also consider the confusion about which canon is the right one. Catholics, protestants among others have different approved canons.

  Anointed1, you forgot to mention one very important similarity in the flood stories , in both texts the gods loved the sweet smell of BBQ meat.

  the-Question For those claiming that- how much thought or research have you done?
  Objective or non-objective?
  Ever read the other books claiming to be from God? Mormon, Hindu, Buddhist, etc?
  Ever do a background study about the Bible?

  It would be interesting to hear your answers to your own questions. thanks.
