The sister claimed that she the killer had spoken out against the religion , apostasy, so maybe she did say or make claims against the cult about her abuse.
Two May 19th articles about Lauren Stuart who killed her husband & two children-left a video & suicide note blaming sexual abuse & exclusion

@stuckinarut - Yes, I think many JWs are that heartless. They reflect the heartless god they serve, a god that will kill billions soon in the great day of his anger. JWs look forward to the time when he gets to do this so they can pet pandas. They don't truly care about other people. They are dead and detached from the people around them, people that are merely problems standing in the way of their happiness. You get what you deserve in their eyes. It's all about rules, crime and punishment, and their base humanity has been shut down over time. It's how they survive in the cult.
Clearly not all are that dead inside, but I truly believe that many are, or at least that's what they show outwardly to protect the cult and their cognitive dissonance. Deep down they may still have authentic feelings, but they're buried under mountains of indoctrination. -

This is very tragic, but somewhat understandable. Moments where great change are required can give birth to a new person but sadly in these cases it led tragedy. These moments for he greatest growth in personality development are a 2 edged sword they can lead to growth or suicide.

The Theory of Positive Disintegration is a novel approach to personality development. The theory is a forerunner of what today is called post-traumatic growth. Dąbrowski described the psychological factors he believed to be related to positive (growth full) outcomes after crises. He called these factors developmental potential and they include a description of psychological sensitivity he called overexcitability (OE). Dąbrowski observed that individuals with strong OE experience crises in a stronger, deeper and more personal manner. The intense experience of crises creates an opportunity for the conscious and volitional rearrangement of the self including a reformulation and reprioritization of one's values and beliefs. The individual forms a new image of his or her ideal personality. With this ideal as a guide, the lower aspects of the self are inhibited and higher goals and aspirations emphasized. The theory is a testimony to Kazimierz Dąbrowski's deep insights into human character and development.

DUBSTEPPED- I totally agree with you. I have been treated unfairly and inhumanely from my JW relatives as well as has my adult EX-JW son, we have lived it and experienced it personally. As have thousands of people on this board ! I agree with every single word in your last post. What a sad day for humanity when these JW relatives of Lauren Stuart show such calloused and barbaric behavior towards the deaths of their natural relatives. You see this same callousness at JW funerals as well because they think their dead relatives will be back . They do not know what real human mourning, sadness and empathy are. It's been indoctrinated right out of their souls. Disgusting

I can speak to it because on a level I was it. My wife would ask something of me for years that I could never understand, and that was a word called empathy, of which I had none. I didn't get it at all. I had to learn it, or maybe re-learn it. I still struggle at times and in areas but I get it now.

When a tragedy occurs, a normal reaction is often to blame yourself, wonder what you did wrong, if you could have changed a thing, anything. If you do find that you are responsible, at least, in part, to the tragedy, the next step is usually to forgive yourself, and leave the experience with an higher awareness of what to do or react should something like that ever happen again. You may even tell others about it, in case it happens to them.
That is what normal people do.
Religious people go against their instinct. That is, they will feel this way until the fault comes down to their religious beliefs. Then, they will stop reasoning, and turn everything upside out. They are unable to consider the possibility that their could be something wrong with their faith.

Lauren's own words...“I took my husband and kids with me so they don’t have to feel my selfish act. They will sleep until Christ resurrects them,” Stuart texted a cousin on Feb. 15 at 5:07 p.m. “I truly hope you do better where I have failed.”
When all else fails..."Hope in the resurrection"!
Over 8 million Jehovah's Witnesses can testify that the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society has stressed this scary mindset for years and years to its members. This murder/suicide is clearly a product of WT's teachings!

EXACTLY THE SAME sentiment is expressed here at 07:04 into the video. These four minutes you'll listen to are the most heart-wrenching, frustrating and anger-inducing comments you'll hear from Witnesses rationalizing the suicide of a distraught son being shunned. Parents wouldn't even read his suicide note in case it contained anything "apostate". That was their final act of shunning:

Laliberte - "They are unable to consider the possibility that their could be something wrong with their faith."
It's the ones who are dumb enough to actually come right out and say, "even when they're wrong, they're right" that - unwittingly - make the best case for the WTS being so ridiculously, hilariously wrong.

It's a big shame this woman killed herself ... because she should ideally be spending the next 100 years behind bars.
