I am struggling to understand the thinking behind promoting Kamala Harris to the top of the ticket. She turned out to be precisely the person her detractors made her out to be. Certainly one of the worst candidates I’ve ever witnessed at this level - worldwide. I’m sure if they opened up the field and chosen at the convention, the consensus candidate would have shined.

She couldn’t and wouldn’t answer any questions and routinely deflected them! She refused to distance herself even partially from Biden whom she knew firsthand his weaknesses. Joe Rogan invited her on his insanely popular podcast and she put forth conditions she knew he’d reject. Her big closing argument? Townhalls with Liz Cheney - at the same time a war in the Middle East was escalating with the attack on Iran. Probably did wonders with Arab and Muslim voters. Did she pick an articulate and popular governor from Pennsylvania who could (would) have helped her win an important state? No - she chose a dumb-fuck governor from Minnesota of all places who wore camo hats, told overly-used American football anecdotes and couldn’t even hold a hunting rifle right.

Trump people - don’t get too cocky. This was an absolutely horrible ticket you ran against.

Do you think he'll be issuing his Executive Decisions from Rikers Island?

The Biden DOJ just dropped all cases against Trump, the cases they started as soon as Trump announced he was running. Not obvious enough this was not election interference? The election is decided and poof, all the cases disappear overnight for lack of evidence.

Jack Smith is reportedly being investigated by the Biden DOJ for leaking sensitive information to the media, while Trump is looking into filing a complaint against Jack Smith for abusing his authority and most likely will have an official investigation into the matter. He tried to lodge a motion with the courts attempting to save his job despite his marching orders to drop the cases, his entire office is being sacked.

Some months back, I had expressed the belief that the reason the DNC pushed Biden for a second term was that they weren't sure how to deal with Harris, should she decide she wanted to be the candidate. If they tried to get her to step aside and she resisted, it would have looked bad for the party to try to sideline a female POC. But she did not impress as a VP (which is a truly low bar in US politics) and anyone could see that she wasn't up to the task.

But Biden's debate performance couldn't be ignored and he was finally made to end his campaign. The only option was Harris. Someone who lacks the ability to express confidence smoothly and who struggles to control any situation she is in. This, plus her frequent troubles expressing herself clearly, is a bad combination for a political campaign. I wasn't ready to write her off because Trump always seems to be walking a tightrope. But, just like 2016, polls could not figure him out.

Pollsters will weep with relief once he exits the political scene. Assuming they don't go extinct, first.

I thought for sure Trump was gonna lose because we know the Democrats would be cheating. But so many people went out to fight for the Republic and vote for freedom and there were so many people that voted for Trump that it overwhelmed all the cheating.

I would like to take the time to THANK Robert De Niro for ALL his crazy rhetoric against Trump that got a lot of my friends to vote for Trump.

Also want to thank the girls of the View for their stupidity on live TV, that convinced a lot of young Gen Z girls to switch from Harris to Trump.

    THANK YOU ALL!

    Joy Behar

    Whoophi Goldberg

    Sunny Hostin

    Also thanks goes out to;

J Lo and her boyfriend P-Diddy

    Also Thanks to;

    Rosie O’ Donnell

    Oprah Winfrey

    Big Mike.

    Taylor Swift

I read that Trump got 3 million fewer votes than he did in 2020, and that Harris got 15 million fewer votes than Biden did in 2020. I don't think Biden voters were switching to Trump as much as Biden voters preferred to stay home instead of vote for Harris.

There is no way at this point to talk about how many votes Trump got or Harris. Or about the whole where are the 19/20 million voters from 2020. Just because the race and states have been declared for a Trump win does not mean that the votes are all in. They are still counting votes today. When done it won't change the outcome of the winner, but it will account for the so-called missing millions and show just how many Trump and Harris actually got.

I expected the election to be a coin toss. I am surprised that such flawed candidates are chosen out of hundreds of millions of people. The propensity of humans to need "cults", gurus, sky daddies, and strong men astounds and worries me.

If they tried to get her to step aside and she resisted, it would have looked bad for the party to try to sideline a female POC.

Dems painted themselves into a corner by picking Harris for VP in 2020. At Biden’s advanced age they should have seen the high likelihood of him only being able to serve one term, which would leave the VP in a prime position to be the nominee in 2024. In 2020 she was humiliated on the debate stage and didn’t even make it to the first primary. Yet they chose her anyway, and Biden foolishly committed to choosing a “woman of colour” as VP leaving her as the only logical choice.

This series of poor choices for VP goes back to 2008 with Obama choosing Biden in the first place. He had to have known he was a potential successor and it set into motion everything that led to Harris eventually being the 2024 nominee.

American politics are full of poor VP choices - for BOTH parties. Agnew, Shriver, Mondale, Quayle, Gore, Kemp, Lieberman, Cheney, Edwards, Palin, Biden, Ryan, Kaine, Pence, Harris, and Walz - who might be the most head-scratching choice right next to Palin.

The inevitable upcoming book on the campaign complete with insider leaks of info are going to be harsh on the Walz pick and Kamala’s poor judgment leading up to it.

    The blame game begins.

    From the Daily mail

The people surrounding Joe Biden blame Nancy Pelosi for Kamala Harris' election loss as Democrats have begun to bicker over who caused the party's disaster.

It came as the president, 82, reacted to Harris' concession speech at Howard University Wednesday.

The blame game went into overdrive last night, as Biden confidantes told senior White House reporters they hold the former Speaker of the House responsible for him being pushed out of the race.

'Bidenworld' sources claim that not only should the president have stayed in the race but that he would have won the white working-class voters who Harris largely ceded to Donald Trump.

The claim that Pelosi got him out of the race is comparable to how Biden blames Barack Obama for demanding he not run in 2016 against Hillary Clinton.

Other Democrat insiders have blamed Tim Walz for being too left wing, too folksy, and too tainted by the Kenosha riots, while others blamed every demographic possible.

Not enough white women showed up, too many black men switched to Donald Trump since 2020, and Hispanic voters abandoned the party.

Stephen A. Smith blames Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey for Harris defeat to Trump

Former First Lady Michelle Obama told an audience that

'a vote for [Trump] is a vote against us.'

'How do you think the men felt about that? So we have to do what you tell us to do; otherwise, we're anti-you? You thought that worked? Do y'all know anything about most men? You think that's going to work?'

As Smith sees it, the Harris campaign used 'guilty' to manipulate 'everyday people' 'into voting for Harris,' he said on his podcast.

To bolster his point, Smith played a clip of Winfrey hinting at an anti-democratic takeover of the United States in the event of a Trump victory.

'This is the kind of stuff that alienates an electorate, alienates a voter,' Smith said. 'Because the freedom that you tell them you have, you try to confiscate morally by letting them know, you ain't worth a damn unless you vote the way we say you should vote.

'Who's going to go for that in a general election? With an economy rife with inflation, with over 12 million people crossing the border?'

The rhetoric also serves to underscore the growing divide between elites and most Americans, Smith explained.

I have to say, I honestly think Biden --even as brain-addled as he seemed-- would have gotten many more black votes than Harris did. It's not that the primary process was circumvented (as if that hasn't happened at least a few times over the past three elections, eh Bernie?), it's that the candidate offered up was just bad.

I mean, really... if you need Stephen A. Smith to be the voice of reason...
