In Real estate jargon, when a piece of property is hot, people are "flipping" the property from one owner to the next, you go to a closing and there are numerous people stand at a table ready to sign the paperwork. At the end of the table, there is the last buyer of the property and there is no one to sell it too at the high price. This last owner is called "The Last Fool"! So, in Dub land who will be the last fools?

DOC: "Are BOTH congregations that use your Hall being dispersed to other Congs and thus your Hall may be sold?"
A few weeks ago they just replaced the carpeting. And the Hall is not in a good area for a business to use it.
As for the other congregation, they have their meeting tonight and they don't know. But everything will go back to it was back in 2011 before they created this congregation.

My boyhood congregation is being deleted/merged. It has been in existence for at least 70+ years, if not longer.

They just did this in Portland OR. On the one hand, they aren't getting their territories done fast enough or want to make sure the KH are at full capacity, and on the other they say it is due to big growth. It all depends on how you spin it.

Distinct possibility.. apparently there are two actions and due to info from a poster, they have combined - last dollar value _ $66 million and lawyers were asking publicly for more abused folk to contact them.
No one mentions ANYTHING about this in the hall... there are those who are in the loop and some that are fading slowly because of it in other congs… One day assembly in the spring showed a lot of empty chairs where they were mostly full last fall. Donations were down when report was read.
Chairs have been removed in regular hall to tighten up empty chairs and force pubs to make it look like its more in attendance. We are in a wait and see situation..

Shhhhh - re/"faders," VID/lol. I don't know of any JWs who would use this to drop off attendance and that's scary! I think it cements their faith and they're as stellar/lock-steppers, as ever. Most of us here on board would jump ship driving an extra block but we're unique/lol.

One thing to note about erasing congregations so that congregation can meld into other congregations is there must be a lowering of attendance .
They usually dont do things like that when a congregation is growing or it has a number of 100+ or more.
Meaning the JWS is really fading in some countries.
Good maybe the information on the inter-net is doing some good. ?
