Under what circumstances would u or did u shun?

  Oh - you took the words right out of my mouth! I was an exact duplicate of you... wanting to fit in... being horrible to people who were only going through troubled times. To this day it still bothers me, the way that I judged people, and treated them like crap. God help someone who misses meetings like 2 weeks in a row. Everyone would end up calling them "bad assosiation", like me. DISGUSTING. Jesus worked on earth to "build up" people, and assosiated freely with sinners. I was as far from christlike as you can get, and my conscience will bother me for years to come yet. I was so foolish to buy into that philosophy.

  When I was reinstated I was never really accepted back. I tried, really tried but the parents wouldn't let their kids hang out with me because I had been DF'ed. There are no second chances at being a JW.
  
  (And I was even an elders daughter. You know the kids that were suppose to get all the breaks.)

  My fiancee Megan was shunned and I was with her when we went to Miejers. It was around Christmas time and she saw that her very best friend was working there. This girl had been her friend for ten years while she was in the organization. She went to see if she would talk to her and I told her to be carefull (I knew how easily she was hurt) but she went anyways. I couldn't bear to watch. She came back a minuite or so later with tears streaming down her cheeks. I can't believe how, in the name of god, people could be so harsh and mean spirited.

  I recently returned from Holiday, and it was a nightmare. I went to a family reunion, and shunning happened. Some of family are jws, and some not. the ones who are took it upon themelves to tell the rest how to treat a disfellowshipped relative. they think they own the world.
