I think the religion has changed several times in its 130/140 years. At one time it was the President changing that made a difference, Russell,Rutherford then Knorr.
Ray Franz and the big shake up of 81ish changed it too.
But the most fundamental changes have occurred in the last 6 to 8 years.
Changes in core doctrines, and in what were core attitudes.
All this is to our advantage of course, those of us who have left for at least 5 years or so, we can say what I said to an Elder a while ago, "It is not the same religion, therefore you must treat me like someone who has never heard of JW's and convince me you now have the truth, with this new religion".
