Maybe I have watched too many zombie movies but I would sleep with one eye open, inquire to see what is your favored menu,do you sleep walk, are your body parts functioning properly (I would hate to shake your hand and it fall off). Your wife never married after 10 years and now you are back, can you perform in the marriage bed??It would be hard for me to sleep at nights with someone that have been dead for over one year sleeping next to me. When you think about it, dead people coming to life could be very nerve-racking for the living and the dead, hell it will be like the Twilight Zone.

The funny thing is, probably because of my JW upbringing, I used to have nightmares for decades about my Zombie grandmother come back :(

If we tackle this question rationally and under the assumption that we still live in the current world and not in the Paradise as described by Jehovah's Witnesses, your concerns are sound. If we are to assume one such hypothetical scenario in which Mark's wife suddenly is resurrected after being dead for a year because of lung cancer, Mark could be quite worried about the consequences of this, and reasonably so.

This is because we have never seen a resurrection take place, and if it could actually happen in reality, not only would it be an amazing discovery, it would also be a cause for worry because of the unknown. We would have to further research whether the body is functioning properly, whether the person is of sane mind, whether this is even the same person as before, etc.

Overall, this would be an amazing discovery, I think. People would fear the unknown, but this is nothing new. People are afraid of that which they don't know all the time. This is why some people still hold the belief in intelligent design.

I am more afraid of the so-called "theocratic society" that the Watchtower preaches and hopes for.

"Can you imagine what the whole world would be like once the Organization becomes the ruling Kingdom on earth?" Witnesses used to ask one another when I went to meetings, was out in field service, especially after being at a convention (we had week long district conventions in my day).

What would it be like? Zombies ain't scary. Just finished watching another chilling episode of "The Handmaid's Tale" on Hulu. That's the real thing to be scared of right there: a Christian Fundamentalist theocracy that takes over the land!

The real zombies are already among us. They are called "Jehovah's Witnesses." Now if there is such a thing as the resurrection and it does come as the Jewish prophets suggest, it won't be the way the Witnesses are gonna like it. Any literal resurrection of the dead would be a welcome sight, as it would mean the end of that horrible proselytizing cult. There will be no such groups if such a future such as the Jewish sages suggest occurs as literally as the Witnesses portray it in their books.

Not saying that even the Jews are sure about the "world to come." But I will say that a world without mind-eating zombies is a world where the Watchtower will have gone defunct.

Till then, lock your doors. Those JW zombies are planning on coming to your door next!

A person resurrected who died 33 AD.

    (JW) Welcome back.

(resurrected one) So who are you??

(JW) Oh, I'am a JW and we have been around a long time. You know Adam was a JW.

(ro) you are so full of sh--t this is a joke, right....Who were Jesus followers after he died?

(JW) well there was a period when the word was dead, but around100 years ago Jehovah selected a wheat salesman to bring his word..

(ro) So over 2000 years there was zip, nothing from God until you folks came along. Man you are so full of crap, put me back into my grave......

Sterile clones with selective memory wiped. The clones must be 100% obedient to the "prince" elders as to their scheduled work assignment, living assignment, etc.

If we cooperate with those taking the lead today, perhaps finding contentment and joy in new assignments of service, we are likely to have the same attitude in the new world ... Today, of course, we do not know where each one of us may be assigned to live in the new system of things. However, cooperation will bring us contentment and great happiness as we do Jehovah’s will wherever we live on earth at that time.

Sounds exactly like Rutherford's vision of paradise, alright (well, except for when the females are turned into males).

Didnt they teach the resurrected ones would neither marry or be given in marriage ? So there would then be three classes of people living on the earth males, females and the walking dead made alive.
