This week's bad news for team Trump:
https://twitter.com/Politics_Polls/status/1282899963274506241
Average: National: Biden +8.9
Michigan: Biden +9.4
Nevada: Biden +8.3
New Hampshire: Biden +8.0
Wisconsin: Biden +7.8
Pennsylvania: Biden +7.3
Florida: Biden +6.0
North Carolina: Biden +3.2
Ohio: Biden +2.3
Arizona: Biden +2.2
Georgia: Biden +0.9
Texas: Trump +0.1
Iowa:
Trump +0.6
iowa (!!!) and Texas (!!!!!!!!) competitive? Not to mention team Trump is behind in virtually every purple state.
Still looking like a bloodbath.
These were the final poll results prior to the 2016 election:
Can't explain why it posted twice.
I can't delete one of the charts.
Perhaps I should post it one more time "just for emphasis"?
Those final poll results were just about spot-on...for the popular vote. Clinton won by about 2% in 2016.
Of course, at the risk of repeating myself for the 100th time, elections are not decided by the popular vote totals, rather by the Electoral College.
The latest polls show Trump getting trounced not only by the popular vote, but in every state Trump won by less than 4%.
Michigan: 2016 Trump + 0.3% vs. July 2020 polling Trump -9.4 % Net loss: 9.7%
Wisconsin: 2016 Trump + 1.0% vs. July 2020 polling Trump - 7.8% Net loss 8.8%
Pennsylvania: 2016 Trump + 1.2% vs. July 2020 polling Trump - 7.3% Net loss 8.5%
Florida: 2016 Trump + 1.2% vs. July 2020 polling Trump - 6.0% Net loss 7.2%
North Carolina: 2016 Trump + 3.8% vs. July 2020 polling Trump - 3.2% Net loss 7.0%
Arizona: 2016 Trump + 3.9% vs. July 2020 polling Trump -2.2% Net loss 6.1%
Brutal.
If Trump loses 3 or more of those states, game over.
Not to mention, as noted earlier, Georgia, iowa, even fer the luv of gawd Texas appear now to be in play. Biden is actually running campaign ads in Texas where Trump won by 9% in 2016.
As I've added with every such post: It's early, 3.5 months is an eternity in campaigns, anything can happen.....but Trump appears to be doing his level best to alienate everybody not already committed to voting for him. It's hard to imagine the numbers above getting better for him.
And, as noted earlier, he will be dragging the Senate & House down with him.
At what point does McConnell have "the talk" with him?
sir82, if you are correct, then the JW's might well be right -- "The End is near!" I was never a "Trumper", although I was an ABC (Anybody But Clinton) voter. But I cannot see why anyone would dare want to risk going back to the Obama/Biden economy. And I seriously doubt that things would be that good with the things that Biden (or his puppet masters) are now proposing.
And when "American sneezes, the World catches a cold." Thus, it would be a shit storm for the World economy, too.
sir82, how can you really support a candidate who literally has trouble putting two or three sentences together to convey anything meaningful? He can't even keep his place using a teleprompter. Additionally, not only is the man dealing with failing cognitive ability, but clearly, the "Huntergate" scandal proves the man is corrupt. He's been creepy with women (even little girls). I'm assuming it must be "a lesser of two evils" decision, and you see Trump as "really" evil. Inquiring minds want to know --
I worry for the future that my grandchildren will inherit from us.
For the record, I'm not "supporting" any candidate on this thread, just reporting the polling results. I'll save my opinions for elsewhere.
As noted, (1) the polls are currently brutal for Trump, (2) they've been brutal for the past several months, and (3) Trump is doing nothing (that I can see) to win over the 6-10% of voters (per state) he's lost since 2016.

@DesirousOfChange ...
That's a good point. I guess it's just the mood you are in. Different people get their pleasures different ways.
Some people like the approach of Easy Listening music (Biden), getting a massage and offering you warm face towels. Others prefer a guy (Trump) wearing a leather thong with a whip and studded collar calling you a son-of-a-bitch.
Different people get their jollies different ways. To each his own.
How many here think that the people who voted Republican last time will do so again this election ? .
Some people like the approach of Easy Listening music (Biden), giving a massage and offering you warm face towels.
But Biden would probably be offering the massages to young girls.
