Looks like a photo bombed picture. Did they really assemble or is it another photo shop.
Not infallible but don't cross them
I thought all of the 144,000 would be "kings" but only in heaven, never on earth...and there would be female "anointed" too that go to heaven to be "kings." "Evidently, some early Christians lost sight of that fact and began seeking undue prominence among their brothers in the congregation. As a result, Paul was moved to ask: “You men already have your fill, do you? You are rich already, are you? You have begun ruling as kings without us, have you? And I wish indeed that you had begun ruling as kings, that we also might rule with you as kings.” 1 Cor. 4:8 (just reporting not supporting" the GB will only be kings in heaven if the are "faithful" to death per the WTS
@Notformer:
** Referring to speculation by some on the "Where's Tony?" thread that Tony is sleeping with the fishes.
i think i made that comment. But it wasnt from inside knowledge
stan livedeath, yes, I know that nobody* knows. On your part, it was just a tongue in cheek comment based on the fact that Tony has been so effectively "disappeared", that even the mob would be proud.
* Nobody who's ever going to tell. Given the way Bethel leaks, it's impressive how well they've kept a lid on it.
Waldo, D.B. Cooper, and Carmen Sandiego would be jealous. 😏
How does the Governing Body determine if the spirits that are guiding them are from Russell and other past WT Presidents, or if they are really malevolent spirits in disguise?
Isn't that always a concern for anyone who believes in spiritual beings who guide or influence our lives? JWs will often dismiss claims of spiritual experience or guidance from non-JWs by saying it was probably a demonic force that the person was dealing with. There's no way to demonstrate that they are wrong, just as they cannot corroborate their own claims of guidance from benevolent spirits.
If the world is best by spirit beings that are thousands of years old and have many centuries of experience in leading humans astray, it could explain why religion is so fragmented around the world. But it also means that one can never be sure if he is in the 'right' religion or simply being mislead. Indeed, one might wonder if there even is a 'right' religion under those circumstances.
Good points as usual TonusOH,
There shall not be found among you anyone who... inquires of the dead, 12 for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. - Duet 18: 10 & 12
Tony Morris caught "testing the spirits" on hidden camera.
JW’s teach that their leaders replaced Jesus as the head of the church (Christian believers) in 1919. Anyone who does not support WT leaders as rulers of the world are labelled as apostates to the true faith. They characterize such loyal believers in Christ alone as “mentally ill”.
Here’s the quote:
“Suppose that a doctor told you to avoid contact with someone who is infected with a contagious, deadly disease. You would know what the doctor means, and you would strictly heed his warning. Well, apostates are “mentally diseased,”
Uncle Tony - “…Suppose that a doctor told you to avoid contact with someone who is infected with a contagious, deadly disease. You would know what the doctor means, and you would strictly heed his warning. Well, apostates are ‘mentally diseased’…”
Mental illness isn’t contagious, dumbass.
