Number 8 is a big LIE!
And what did they think number 17 would prove?
And even as a mentally in witness, I would have never felt comfortable with number 14.
And how come they don’t understand that “persecution” does not prove your religion is not a cult. There are many cults that can be considered “persecuted and criticized”
And number 9 is actually really cult like. “Earn the privledge” by jumping through a bunch of hoops, cutting people off, changing many things in all areas of your life, almost all your beliefs, and letting go of a lot of your individuality.

I wonder who they're really trying to convince with their list?
Hmmmm, maybe the FB poster needs to study and pray more to strengthen their faith.

From my understanding, Jehovah Witnesses are not supposed to post anything about their religion on-line. I wonder how the congregation would feel if they were to know someone among them posted the above on-line. -

"Do you know as a Jehovah's Witness I could spend a night at any JW's home without either of us being suspicious of each other?"
Same with couchsurfers and swing dancers.

There is much ignorance, lies and self supporting biases in the list.
One that pique my interest more than others is the statement 8 that the present or GB members at it were today are just another servant.
In reality the past Presidents and GB members created the many false apostate doctrines which JWS even today support.
They self recognize themselves as the Faithful Discreet Slave but in reality they aren't simply because they dont adhere accurately and faithfully to Jesus's instructions for preaching "His" Gospel of a New Kingdom..
These men right from the very beginning (1874) were sinning false prophet charlatans who lured others to share in their sins, that is what created the JW organization, they are those men public sales representatives, they dont represent Jesus and his Gospel.

days of future passed
Number 16 is funny. Those poor early JW's carting around how many of those bound volumes to people on a "donation" basis. Now days they don't "sell" tracts - just kingdom halls.

16. We own the largest printing press in the world...
It doesn't get used much these days. Not like in the 'old days' ... just 10 or 15 yrs ago and for decades prior to that.

# 10 We sin too
Of course you do and get disfellowshiped and shunned by all your own family and every other Jehovah`s witness for years on end.
And the whole world is now becoming more aware of the sin/crime of child sexual abuse that is and has taken place by JW`s and the cover ups ,sweeping it under the carpet ,blaming the victims ,and not reporting this crime to the police or child protection authorities by the elders is complicit in their crimes.
And the reason these Elders who sit on these judicial committees is "it will bring reproach on Jehovah`s name" if the general public become aware of these crimes committed by Jehovah`s witnesses.
