I bet it will be something like.

“ so you’re in your early 30s and you don’t have a mate or a family. If you dare try to look outside the reservation, we will make your life a living hell.”.

I just expect nothing short of a real tightening down ,,, ratcheting down on the control itinerary..

Tightening their grip of what you just said,, Riley.

They really have to firm - up this us vs. them mentality. In order for this cult isolation technique,, elitist mentality to survive.

Tough noogies to the "" unmarried "". Its NOT about your needs & what benefits you,,, its about the Borg.

    Tough luck.

I think there are a lot of unhappy marriages in “the truth”.

The advice the watchtower gives just doesn’t work.

They need to stop micromanage peoples lives and let them figure it out in their own.

If they did that the religion, if you want to call it that would cease to exist.

Considering the latest noo lite on don't ask don't tell on bedroom activities there will be counsel on not denying the marital due, and to go ahead and use extra lube.

Marry a MS, pioneer, etc. By their standards I am the worst husbsnd around when actually you will have to look hard to find any nearly as good and they almost always are non JWs.

There are the peas in a pod career pioneers and up who are actually leeches

    rtn;

In other words,,,, dont marry anyone anything short of "" perfection "".

Coupled with the high cost of living ,, working for a living,,, political uncertainty & inflation..

Marry someone who is pretty much perfect & balance all these things.& taking care of yourself.

About 10 years ago, I knew a JW women who committed suicide. She was about 45, unmarried, no children and came from a large JW family. She was a PIMI till the end.

I often wonder about the toll on the single ones in the cong, especially with there being more women than men. The elders also seem a little more liberal with men finding non-JW mates but if you are a women, they are right in your business.

    Riley that's sad. Very sad.

Sometimes all a young woman wants is a man,, & a small family. After being denied that until you realize your best years are gone must be......

    RILEY:

I am really sorry to hear about that JW woman!

When I came into the Witnesses as a young working woman, I saw all the desirable men were taken. The rest I wasn’t interested in.👎 A woman there with any sense has to look outside the religion for a man. The religion definitely has a double standard about finding a partner outside. A man gets a ‘pass’ but a woman is judged. This is because the JW religion wants women around as drudges to do favors. They KNOW once she is married they can no longer freely approach her.. In my case, even though I was single, the answer was always No if they came near me looking for anything… Since I was knocked/shunned for working full-time I wouldn’t do favors for anybody there.

BTW, this DOUBLE STANDARD also applied to secular work/full-time jobs.. A man there wouldn’t be told he should quit a decent job and do housecleaning - but yet these bastards tried this with me.. It didn’t work.

    ROAD TO NOWHERE:

Those ‘pioneer leeches’ you describe never got anything from me!! I was outraged that some JWs thought they were not going to work and thought people would give them ‘handouts’.👎.. I felt they should go ask their spiritual friends for $$.
