Sounds exactly like my friend. He gets this weird look on his face when he speaks of "the Truth". He says the hardest thing to be is a JW. Well, yeah. That's why there are so many living on the fringes
The hardest thing for a devout JWS is to be intellectually honest and use their own critically thinking skills, the WTS pretty much shuts that down and places a suggestive psychological ban.
