    When they refer to "spiritual goals" they are actually referring to organizational goals. Any spiritual goals you set are personal goals, designed to improve your relationship with god. The WTS wants to dictate your spiritual goals to you, and those amount to becoming a company drone.

    To the WTS, a spiritual goal would be something like becoming an MS or pioneer. Attending all meetings and commenting from the literature. Reading the literature as soon as it is available. Ancilliary goals would be avoiding higher education, getting a job instead of a career, being a good housewife, making sure the society always looks good, and so on.

    Must be desperate, asking for "young ones" and "brothers and sisters" to apply.

    Blondie;

    Thats because these ones are the most malleable. They're inexperienced,, vulnerable & likely easiest to manipulate.

    The low- hanging fruit on the tree.

    Yes, so true. The WTS says that Satan chose to tempt Eve first, the youngest and most vulnerable. Evidently copying their father as Jesus said the religious leaders of his time did. (Just using their bible against them)

    Vulnerable and in harm's way. Yes.

    Impressionable young minds. They have no choice. Believing there is a choice. But there is no choice.

    Thats whats so deceiving.

    BLONDIE & BETH SARIM:

    Yes, targeting the young and vulnerable who should really be planning for their own lives and security.

    What’s sad is these young people (likely born-ins) have no knowledge of the real world and how it works. If their parents are also born-in that’s even worse (generational ignorance).

    I personally witnessed older JWs with secure and cushy lives pushing poverty on younger people years ago. (They tried with me.) But the poverty being pushed was certainly not for them! ..Hell no. These hypocrites went to their graves living a cushy life.

    It is so dishonest for any older person to do this and I made sure I warned every young person in the hall that I had a conversation with that they have to look out for themselves! .. I hope some took my advice.

    Kudos. I tip my hat to you. Your insight & intuition is outstanding !!!

    That whats so disingenuous. Thinking you have a " choice ". When clearly there is no such " choice "".

    Its an inherited set of beliefs. Born- ins especially. They develop a standard belief that its all they know & learn.

    When you are told you have a " choice "" but there is no such "" choice "" clearly manipulative & deceitful. Gaslighting.

    "The young today are heavily besieged from all sides for their support and contribution of service and strength." - The Watchtower Nov. 15, 1945 pg 339. Doesn't this sound familiar? Everything old is new again!
