Do You Expect To See Your Loved Ones In The Resurrection?

Thats one hope I had at one time. To see my dad, and experience life with him again. I honestly don't know what to believe anymore. I am still here waiting for the great tribulation if this in fact will come to fruition who knows?

When I read threads like this one and see the lack of hope it makes me very sad. Why is it I can see it, and you all can't?

    Teenyuck,

You can add one more date to that list of wrong predictions of this world's end. It was posted earlier on this forum. The 1989 Watchtower predicted this time for the end:

Before the end of this (20th) century

Well they said the preaching work would be DONE then, in essence predicting the end then.

Funny thing though, they omitted that wording (20th century) and substituted the word "soon" in their bound volume reprint of the article and in the subsequent Watchtower CD-Rom.

    Weasels.

Um, because we've been let down by the false promises of the Watchtower Society before, and aren't as willing as you are just to "let them go". If you've been let down by a series of interpretations issued by a group that claims God whispers in their ear, logic tells you to be wary of their "bible-based" promises. We have "seen" it your way before, mr. SOJ. Logic tells us to reject it.

Using logic is a sin to a Witness. It produces independent thinking, a critical attitude and lack of faith. Sword of Jah is incapable of using logic because he is a good Witness. So leave him alone. If HE decides to veer in his thinking, he may open his brain. Meanwhile, we can feel sorry for him.

Doh! Gopher, you are right. Add one to the list...

I don't feel sad. I thought the same thing Ang. I had in my mind maybe I might see my great grandmother again...the one who was not the *evil slave*, though in retrospect, I would love to pick her brain.

Anyway, SoJ....don't pity us (or me). I will die. End of story. When? I don't know. Could be tomorrow. Could be in 60 years. When I am dead, I am dead....You and your cult taught me that.

Seeing things again, Sword? What makes me sad is that so many, including sword, are being used and abused by religious organizations to fulfill that organization's agenda. They all have an agenda. And, at the top of the list on that agenda, is making as much money as possible in the shortest amount of time on the backs of their loyal and faithful servants. The Watchtower organization has apparently done very well in placing themselves up there in the realm of wealthy religious organizations that promote the well-being of the organization as a business above the well-being of their members. It is very sad, sword, that you can only see what others tell you you can see. What I see, sword, is an apparently faithful and loyal JW lurking in the shadows of this forum because his religion is so controlling that he is FORBIDDEN to think for himself. Do I expect to see my loved ones in the resurrection? NO. That would mean that I would be putting myself in subjection to the god of the bible who promotes the same religious fanatacism as our good friend, Sword. I would rather be dead. Mrs. Shakita

Would love to see some old family members and friends who I miss and love still so much in the new system, since you ask. Not sure thesedays whether I'm gonna be there myself to see it happen though. Faith without works is truly dead.

Well, Butterknife of Jah, you can see it where we can't because you're apparently still "young" and gullible. And we're "older" and more difficult to seduce.
