The JW spokesman kept mentioning how it was built by "volunteers". Yes there were a lot of JW volunteers, but didn't they contract out & pay for "worldly" companies to do much of the work?
The comments at the bottom are pretty interesting. Is "Allan Starr" one of us here on this site? He's really embarrassing JW-apologist Simon there.

Didn't much of the work by these volunteers have to be redone two or three times? And wasn't there a crane accident?

How do they determine who gets the rooms with the lake views?

How do they determine who gets the rooms with the lake views?
Do you really need to ask?

A post on here a few weeks ago noted that a GB member went to see his room assignment and did now want the lake view he was assigned but insisted it be changed to a mountain view, think it was Jaracz (?)

"Currently, the Watch Tower Society is working with a Greenwood Lake Boy Scout Troop to refurbish the east shore of Greenwood Lake, offering their assistance in terms of material and volunteer trade help."
What!!! They are helping the Boy Scout Troop up there!?? The WT leadership won't allow JWs to have their own children in Boy Scouts, nor girls in Girl Scouts, -- aren't even suppose to buy Girl Scout cookies!! Hypocrites!!

Jaracz died 6 years ago. Per JW theology, he now has the "cloud view".
Although if there is any justice in the world, he currently has the "brimstone view".

"The Witnesses have also helped with certain public facilities in town. When Warwick needed some material to build one of last sports fields out at Union Corners Park, Sweeton said he contacted the Watch Tower Society.
The group responded by providing all of the material the town needed as well as hydroseeding the soil, which allowed the grass to come in very nicely and much more quickly than had the town done the work - all at no cost to taxpayers.
Devine said that the group also has built a press box at the Little League field near the headquarters.
Currently, the Watch Tower Society is working with a Greenwood Lake Boy Scout Troop to refurbish the east shore of Greenwood Lake, offering their assistance in terms of material and volunteer trade help."Looks like they are using donations to build sports fields for the public and working with the boy scouts. Wonder if that'll be on jwbroacasting?
